OK now I get a message from ebay saying there has been a request from the seller to cancel transaction.

I clicked on "view case details" and the seller has said ...

This case has been opened by the seller with the following reason: Buyer requested shipment to a country I don't ship to.
Additional information provided by the seller: cost was way too much, buyer said no

After 7 days of your non response he will get his fees refunded. I don't think you can stop this from happening, unless you state you want to complete. Because of his reason for cancelling it may simply not work
