    Nah, I was last years club champ at Port Fairy. I just live in Portland. And the fact that I'm willing to drive 45 minutes to play Port Fairy pretty much sums up what I think of Portlands course... My brother is a scratch marker at Portland though.

    But in all honesty, Portlands "nice" and usually in good condition (although it's under water in some parts at the moment), but it's just as boring as batshit. No real variety to it, no memorable holes and you just come away after playing it thinking it should have been more exciting than what it was.

    Lefty, a pity the Portland course is where is it. Maybe they should plough it under and build a new one somewhere on the linkslands either side of town.

    Couldn't agree more Jack. It has been discussed before but unfortunately not seriously enough for the idea to go anywhere. They were in some pretty deep financial poo up until a couple of years ago when they were bailed out by the Aluminium Smelter. A deal worth around $1.5 million over 12 years. Otherwise it MAY have happened.

    Hellfire Club was in Sydney, late 80's early 90's. Was a very different place at the end of a big Drink on Thursday nights.

    Posted from the top floor of Sheriton Tribeca when i was in New York a couple of months ago. Also posted something while i was on a flight from LA to Newyork. I was over the grand canyon. Can use internet on Virgin America flights wish they would bring that in here.
