Have they got rid of the stobie pole on the 1st tee?
Once you go yellow, you will never go back

Believe so, someone mentioned it in a previous post on the subject.

I'm just gobsmacked how rundown Renmark GC is now Appalling and such a shame. Saw a variety of wildlife grazing on fairways, so dilapidated. And it's not just the back nine, it's the whole course now.

But there is a some possible good news, just heard a few minutes ago it's under new management, hopefully that will mean a restoration of the course.

New Management won't be able to do much without $$$ which I don't think are there like 20-30yrs ago.
Back then water was dirt cheap and in abundant supply. Water for Riverland Golf courses is a considerable cost factor these days where previously they never had to worry.

I know the Berri Hotel took over running the Golf Club but not sure if the course was in their scope as well like Berri. If it was looking like a desert I'd guess they have control of running it or should I use the word ruining. Berri suffered the same fate of a dry course due to the Hotel selling off some of the courses water allocation for a quick pay day. Once gone it's hard and quite expensive to buy extra water allocation back. That's what happens when you let accountants make decisions on maintaining a green Golf Course.

I was in Berri last week and the course is looking pretty green. Shame to hear about Renmark.
