I've made several outlandish statements in that post, Pete. Plenty of hope in each of them.

Have fun guys....
Kristian, do you have a handicap? Pup plays of low singles right?

Kristian: Pup got down to 2 at Oatlands, which plays a fair bit like Muirfield. get as many shots as you can and then two more. God speed.

Kristian has no hcp. Although I'm thinking a handicap of 13 or 14 for him is fair.

Kristian: what are your last five scores and where were they played?

Pup: Ignore the number I sent in the PM for a moment...
Scottt: Last round I played was 86 @ Ashlar (have shot 79 there before though), then before that was 81 @ Glenmore Heritage, 83 @ Windsor, and 68 through 15 holes at Penrith.

Ok let an outsider decide.
I'm not fussed. But you better watch out Kristian, I don't just want to win, I want to absolutely annihilate you!

My back 9 was a shitload better than the front...can't remember for sure, but it was only about +4/+5 or so. That dickhead tee shot of mine on the 2nd killed any hope I had of being somewhat respectable.
If there is a reasonable way of approximating a handicap from previous scores, so be it. We'll ultimately decide before the 1st tee anyways.

Based on those scores and if they were shot from the members tee I would give you a 13 hcp KJ.
Good luck mate, I hope you teach Pup a golfing lesson..

I wish I could come up with a retort to that MT, but I can't really say anything considering you've beaten me both times we've played..

Pup and I have agreed on 13. Yes, it's the unlucky number, but stranger things have happened in golf.

You guided me around NSW, and whenever I decided to not listen to your recommendations (and, to be honest, sometimes when I did listen), I crapped it up. That's a suitable retort IMO.

Golflink (or the clubs) ****ed up my handicap. They need to take .8 off it. But my last 2 rounds have been crapola, so who knows!

I bloody hope not...
BTW, Pup's dad won't be chauffeuring him to and from the venue. In an act of unrivalled sportsmanship, I volunteered to pick him up on the way to the course.

leave a penthouse on the seat when he gets in,
he will either have to carry his bag in front of the first 5 holes or forfeit

I've just realised I have to fit his bag and buggy in my car as well. 2 Bridgey staff bags and 2 buggies might mean I need to lay my back seats flat.
So much bloody effort for a simple Ozgolf matchplay...but I'll probably face worse when Ozgolf Champs comes up.
