    Default Wa champs - prizes/donations

Alright sandgropers our WA champs w'end is not too far away and as has been the case in previous comps ran by THE DON we always have very generous punters amongst us.
But to help things run smoothly and save some confusion for the w'end we want to get the list of prizes together well before the w'end.
So if you can put forward here or PM what you are able to donate that would be much appreciated. Whether it's a sleeve of Pinnacles or a Fascinating bottle of wine, it doesn't matter, it will all go into to THE DON'S lair and he will divvy up the allocation of prizes before the w'end comes around.
Bear in mind their will also be cash prizes for NTP/LD over the w'end and the Matchplay comp on the Friday will run seperate to the WA champs.

idg - we have more than enough prizes, could you tell NUFFIE to keep them and put them up for the Winter Cup which will be upon us pretty soon.

2.5 putts on a wipe, nothing changes due to "making it easier for people using iphone or gps"?

    Are you serious?

Same rule applies that if you putt out on a wipe and only use 2 putts, you count 2 putts.

    Fixed Simmsy.

.5 putts can be the difference between winning and losing.

I just find it funny that you want to change the scoring system based on a couple people scoring with electronic devices. We'll all be using score cards anyways.

With the exception of Tiger, no one should have a problem with adding up .5s.

    Good work Simmsy.

Let's all throw in $5 at KB for some NTPs as well.

I've got two more sleeves of Diablos for 2 holes at Binningup.

cool JC - yeah i'm pretty much happy to throw anything at B'up. Remembering we have to put in $25 each for sat/sun NTP.

Anyone want to throw in $5 on who gets most regs on 3's & 5's at B'up? count back system going on s'ford score for the 9th and so on.

    Good game. I'm in.

On a side note: What prizes can non-OzGolfers win?

    NTPs, obviously, no probs?

    Long drive?

    Best stableford score?

If they are eligible for a lot of these, maybe they should each kick in an extra $25 each and we can put in to KB NTPs and Binningup NTPs.

I told the two KB guys that it would be about $50 for prizes, so no probs there.

Full prizes on Friday and Ntps on the rest of the weekend?

Most of us have donated prizes worth more than the $25 as well as kicking in for the weekend.

However, this close to the event, these guys are showing which has to count for something too.

These guys are showing because they want to get away and golf with the boys. Originally, I think Aldo specified NTPs only.

I don't think they should have full reign without a healthy donation to the prize pool or we limit what can be won.

at the end of the day it's up to The Don.

    But i would think
1st, 2nd, 3rd, NAGA, MegaWatty Putting Plate, Best Nett & Magellan H/cap should only be for Ozgolf members

    That leaves -

1st Eagle, Hin1, LD & NTP for everyone who plays.

Ozgolfers are all putting in $25 for the prizes so i think atleast that from everyone else that joins us for the novelties.

I think B'up is more of a case of who wants to join in can, but no pressure.

I bought a dozen B330 RX's today from golfbox. They are up for grabs if required, or else I can put them towards the winter major if we already have enough.

I like your thinking Simpson. The 3 non-OzG should put in an extra $20-$25 to cover the extra prizes that were donated for long drive, NTPs, etc. Sound good?

    Major prizes are OzG only.

    Simmsy,

Vic and I were just talking and thought the following.

Everyone is donating $25, 3 non OzGolfers will donate $50 to make up for no donated prizes. They will be eligible for the prizes that you mentioned, if others are ok with that.

That gives us $380 in the prize pool if Golfnut throws in $5 for his Friday attendance.

NTPs on the Sat and Sun - $30 each = $240

    $140 remains. I propose:
    $15 each NTP at KB = $60

    $80 remains
    Binningup
$20 on the first two par 3s.
$40 on the right pin on the 9th, the extreme pin!

Any holes where the prize is not won carries over to the next par 3.

    What do you think?

Sounds good mate. I will make the change to the s/s on OP and bring with me. Good money on offer.

Are the 3 non OZ ok with the $50 buy in?

JC - i am probably wrong but just check it over for me

I think we have 12 golfers in total for sat/sun

    10 ozgolfers & 2 nonOZ

    10 x 250
    2 x 50

= $350 + $5 from Golfnut for Fridays NTP? Is this correct??

    Total Pool = $355

Where am i missing $25 from??

I thought Daz_golfer was counted as an ozgolfer as he is a member here now.
