Australia Day Golf
I'm looking for a game on Australia Day.
Any takers?
I was going to play Hartfield (again) but am not averse to a change of scenery.
Final Results.
1. Adlo 33
2. Veefore 29
3. Pieface 25
4. Yossarian 25
Pieface did really well considering he had never seen the course before.

Harvey Norman is open on Australia Day?
Oh and I'll be drinking on a boat. Sorry.

It's un-Australian to play golf on Australia Day. Go and start racial wars like everyone else.

The demand for household goods must be huge on Australia day.

Veefore, I can't see why I shouldn't play.
Where you thinking?

Make sure you get some seafaring tips from Zig before you go.

Hartfield is easiest (and cheapest) for me but I'm open to suggestions. I haven't played a lot of other courses for a long time so anywhere is new and exciting to me when I get there.

Ha Ha, cool. I hate public holiday busyness, so it needs to be quiet.
I assume a members track is pretty quiet on Australia day?

I only have my own club to go by and it is a normal rebels comp day there. Even so, there are a lot more empty places in the arvo than usual.
I would prefer a members track as well. Public courses can be a real pain when they are busy.

I'm happy to play Hartfield if you are.
It is just a shade closer to home than my home track

That's true. though a group from hartfield did drive down there one saturday a couple of months ago, played in the morning and drove back in the arvo. All instead of their usual Hartfield round.
How does 12:17pm sound?

That is what I normally do. 90 mins drive with the new freeway for me (however I am conscious of your distance from the city!!)
12:17pm sounds great.

If you would prefer to play Bunbury I wouldn't mind. It would make a nice change and I might be able to talk one of my mates into coming along to share the fuel (if you don't mind an extra one in the group)
I have booked us for 12:17 at Hartfield.

Not sure if a mere WAGLer is allowed to tackle Harty but I would be keen if welcome...

Hartfield is. Prizes on tuesday's are over the bar.
The course is also technically open to the public as well so inviting non-handicapped guests to play "should" be ok too.

I love playing Bunbury, although I am not sure I can invest 8-9 hours into a round of golf as I might be doing a few things on Australia day.
I'll think about it.......

Ok. Well the booking is made at Hartfield for 12:17pm.
Adz is included in the comp on the day.
Pieface, You are certainly welcome. You can play but obviously not in the comp without a GA handicap.
I checked with the pro shop and basically anyone can play, as long as they can PLAY and I take responsibility for our group keeping up with the group in front.
