My favourite '80s track and possibly my favourite guitar solo of all time.

Awesome thread
Like many others, I grew up in the 80s and love the music. Hoodoos, Mentals, Split Enz, the Oils - the list goes on. My ipod has very little from after about 1992.
Two quick stories - we go through annual Quality Assurance audits and the regular auditors were away one year. They were replaced by another guy who turned out to have played bass guitar for Mi-Sex. He was chuffed I remembered them. And on another forum I belong to (a cricket one), one of the members there used to be in The Go-Betweens.

Big DS fan here. Hated Walk of Life. Loved everything else.
Tunnel of Love is a favourite of mine. The guitar solo at the end (outre ?) still gives me serious goosebumps.
Love Over Gold (the album) is pure genius.
This thread is like a "cougar", not all old birds qualify, pasting anything you heard in the 80's is bollocks . It was the era of shite punctuated by some brilliance.
Bruce, B. Bragg is the business
What he ^ said.
Yeah Daves, we can all find that, did any of it mean anything to you?
Lots, I have all the albums for starters, on vinyl of course. I saw The Church play before they became well known. Waits, Pop, Verlaine and Beefheart were 4 very influential 70s/80s artists. Most of their stuff has been covered by the likes of Bowie etc. Easy to throw up mainstream chart toppers, but I preferred a lot of the more raw stuff.
