I would take anything that any of them say with a grain of salt. The three in question are spoilt, overpaid mummy's boys who don't deserve to be there anyway. They wouldn't survive in the real world, so they try and play tennis, and most of the time, not very well.

Kyrgios didn't say it. Kokkinakis said he couldn't understand why he didn't get a wildcard, but not much else. Ebden said that there were some issues, but it wasn't for him to endorse the "Davis Cup" captain or not.

Ferrins also said it a day before Tomic said anything, so I haven't ignored it. When Ferrins speaks, people listen.

How did Hewitt become a universally-loved great bloke in the space of a press conference he didn’t even attend?

    What a load of horsesh^t!

Love you to get filmed all day at work and then have people make up shite about you every other day and put it in the press. Then back it up with a interview weekly about your lack of performance.

Part and parcel with their career choice. It's not like social and news media is something that sprouted out of now where the last few years. They could have become accountants; you almost never hear anything about them! Or upholsterers, no one ever even wants to hear about them.

Nice win for Gold Coaster Kimberley Birrell and will more than likely play Kerber, This win is good for Kerber as this will get her on centre court. Kerber is no 2 in the world but being rather plain looking and rather boring she struggles to get on centre court.

I'm reading that all the players Tomic named as getting wildcards due to being managed by Hewitt's mob aren't actually managed by them at all? Anyone know?

Hewitt speaks up to against accusations and pulls the threatened my fanily card.

For those reading the article this is the main points of interest.

Former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash earlier this week called for an investigation into Tomic’s allegations against Hewitt.

Tennis greats John Newcombe, Wally Masur and Todd Woodbridge have spoken out in support of Hewitt, but Cash called for an independent investigation into Tomic’s claims. “I think it really needs to be looked into. If it’s clean then it’s clean; if it’s not then there’s a real problem” Cash told Melbourne sports radio channel SEN.

“I think it needs to be looked into and I don’t think Tennis Australia within themselves need to be looking into it. I think somebody else probably needs to be looking into that.

“Maybe Bernie’s got a point, maybe there’s a grain of truth in this, maybe there’s more than a grain of truth. If it is true then it’s a bit worrying, I’ve got to say … if you’re Thanasi Kokkinakis, your ranking was pretty high and you get overlooked by somebody who is within the management team, then you would wonder.”

Until he has his head in the right place, he isn't. It takes more than ability and talent, and he's proven that. Whether he wants to step it up or not is up to him. If he doesn't, he'll probably still do really well for himself.

Kyrios has ten times the talent that Alex has. I'll take 20 aces over 20 come ons.

Kyrgios beat Nadal at Wimbledon when he was 19. De Minaur hasn't troubled him at all in two attempts.

If Kyrgios had half the heart and determination Demon has he'd be one helluva player that's for sure.

Couple of great efforts from the Aussies tonight. The boys will get no end of confidence from those experiences. Popyrin has a lot of tennis game.

Hewitt also took the liberty to give himself a doubles wildcard as another $5000 + in his back pocket would cover a few lunches in the Bahamas.( Well actually he would claim them with Tennis Australia any way)Kokkinakis declined and had to qualify while Bernard and Nick have no interest in signing or even just talking with him in general. Conflict of interest for Australia's great tennis guy, just ask him.

I grew up with Ash’s dad, Rob Barty. He was a quality junior golfer and pretty sure he won the Qld schoolboys and junior championship around 81, 82.

He is the most talented player from Australia I have ever seen, he has the hand-eye co-ordination of Agassi, his first serve is as big as Scud and I reckon he can volley pretty decent too (although it's hard to beat Rafter in that department)

If only that peanut brain of his could be knocked into gear....
