Hewitt beat him in a final at the same time last year. That said, I'm sure it was rigged.

I hope the knob bet his house on a second round win.

Not sure it was rigged but I certainly didn't get the feeling that either player was trying too hard. The form Fed has produced in the last few days went missing IMO. Channel 9 broadcast was woeful and I think didn't do the format justice.

I doubt that he would push or chase too hard after coming off his 1000th win, another title, and with bigger fish to fry next week. To him, it shouldn't have been much more than a practice hit.

For sure. No point risking anything with a slam next week but even looking at some of the serve speeds they were way down. Interestingly it looked real slow too but that had more to do with the horrible audio or lack of sound effects coming through the TV I think.

Or quit altogether. I watched her matched live and it was an embarrassment. She ripped the occasional forehand but the shots she missed was crazy. Her ground strokes were short but worst of all her backhand was woeful, especially the slice. Almost every guy I play against has a better slice. It was slow, high and floating short. I felt really bad for her. Looks like she is scared of hitting a shot, making a mistake. We left after the first set.

On another note, I caught one of two balls hit into the audience for a chance to win a car. We had to go on court after the Tomic match and had 3 attempts to hit a ball into the boot of a car positioned at the other baseline. I was the only one out of three people who did it! We got free tickets to the men's final where I have to go back for another qualifying attempt. 3 finalists then get the chance to win the car on national TV. It's only a VW Polo, but it was a lot of fun. Got to meet the legend Ken Rosewall and a few other players during the attempt.

Got me thinking how I would structure a lesson if you told me you wanted to work on hitting the ball into a boot of a car.
For myself I would just imagine I was hitting a spare ball to a guy serving say after he hit a let.

Love your work. That's exactly what I did.
I should put the video up. Good for a laugh, although the mrs is carrying on a bit cheering and laughing!

Not sure about all the courty fluro colours going on with the men. Loved the camo space invaders look that the Italian bloke who played Federer had going on.

My boy Nadal made easy street with Anderson, who's normally a tricky player. Really looking forward to the Berdych v Nadal match!!

I can't take Berdych seriously anymore after a mate of mine referred to him as "Thomas Birdshit" in an email once. It's the only thing I can think of when I hear his name.
Still not playing enough GolfLink | Slightly less terrible stats brought to you by Golfshot - F: 57%, GIR: 23%, UD: 14%, P: 34. Wow, improvement! | Nickent brand ho or tightarse? You be the judge!

Aha yeah mate lol. I was hoping Tomic would get up on him but us Aussies aren't there yet in terms of world class. Kyrgios is the most potential but the media needs to stop putting pressure on the poor bloke.

The way he's playing he will be a fantastic barometer for Nadal. Very tough opponent.

I like it, because I think Berdych is a douche.

I think its bouchards time, she can beat sharapova in this next match.Raonic will have to go thru the Joker, but his game has matured so much he's a real chance.Berdych can roll Nadal, who is not 100%, by taking a leaf out of Mark Phillopousis' book (of all people!).Fair enough it was a bit of hit around, but during their game in that fast4 demo match they played, the Poo highlighted nadal's weakness against a strong serve-volley game. Berdych will need to mix it up a bit to break him.

I thought Nadal looked really fit and confident on his last match. Much better than his first round match against that Pszychek? fella.

Nadal has always had a deadly passing shot for anyone approaching the net.

I'm going to call a grinding +3 hour, 4 setter to Nadal.
