I reckon the US changed the matchup from Keys today, because they knew Stosur would choke against a lower ranked player (Keys is ranked higher than Stosur by 1). I can't explain the selection of McHale yesterday except for that reason either.
The US didn't select Sloane Stephens for this tie either who is ranked higher than them all, and made the final of the recent clay court tournament.

Tomic has responded to questions regarding his effort the other day by saying he's worth 10mill, what does he care?
