There may have been many before him but none have been in the same battle that was fought tonight. I think it was 6 hours of emotion coming out.

As arrogant as he seems on the court, he always redeems himself behind the microphone. A true champion.

There have been many many similar battles. Davis Cup when it used to actually mean something special produced some of the most gut wrenching displays in history.

But all the best to Novak, he's a different sort of character but one who is certainly doing a march of greatness right now. Great speech by both too.

Thought I detected a hint of adam's apple there. She strikes me as not being totally out of place in one of those joints in Phuket.

Three? Who is the third, if she is playing the semi then final? Herself?

It was a strange match last night. Cibulkova seemed to dominate at the end of the first set and the start of the second set. Somehow Sam managed to fight back in games that seemed gone, which demoralised her opponent, before monstering her to finish.

Hollow rumours, although she looks a lot like Renee Stubbs in this pic with her travel buddy.

Ferret, my wifes family where big in Tennis here in the Eastern Suburbs back in the 90's.
They know Renee Stubbs, and Rod quite well, also Todd Reid (he lives across the road from the inlaws) ive played a few rounds of golf with him.
Anyway we used to go to the Aussie Open religiously b4 we had kids.
Ive met Sam and her girlfriend (well the one at the time) a few years ago b4 she got quite good id say its more fact than rumour......

Everyone has people in their lives that are gay, lesbian or transgender or bisexual. They may not want to admit it, but I guarantee they know somebody.

Good luck to Sam and I hope she wins.

Cibulkova and her coach were cheating. Her coach was giving her instructions - which is against the rules in tennis...It happened on several occasions.....Im glad stosur won
