Kerber played too well in the middle part of the second set; she was on a hot streak. But Barty was patient enough to see it out, then finished with a hot streak of her own. Great win! Pliskova would be her preferred opponent for the final too, as Sabalenka causes her trouble.

Kerber was swinging at every short ball, that tactic can pay off at times but is inconsistent. Barty was patient and played simple tennis keeping the ball in play; something she struggled with in the previous games where she attacked too much and made too many unforced errors.

Barty's biggest issue is her serve, she is getting the ball toss far too behind her head (mainly on the second serve) and getting stuck. She improved this marginally last night but is clearly a fault that needs to be fixed if she is going to lift the trophy.

That kicker second is not as effective on the grass as the clay; it can pop up really nicely for anyone with a decent return of serve

Poor Dylan is being overshadowed by Ash.

It's unfair, considering the amount of slams he has won. What an effort to get himself into another final, although maybe he has spent too much energy to get there?

Alcott match to be replayed after women’s final.

Ash looking better on serve, needs to hold on and put this to bed before Pliskova finds her range

Not going to lie but I thought for a minute there she was going to choke like a favourite at the Ozgolf champs. So glad she proved me wrong. Well done.

    They moved it ……

It’s a split screen video showing Ash winning the Wimbledon Girls Championship in 2011 in the top half combined with the bottom half showing her win today, 10 years later.

Hey, wait! Has the men's tennis final been held yet?? Looking back in this thread, it doesn't seem one's been held since September 2019!!
