I was flicking around Kayo, because most sport is better than free to air TV at any time, and I saw that Jersey was playing cricket in World Cup Qualifiers. I didn't know the country, so I looked it up and it is an island in the English Channel, which is very close to another island called Guernsey. Hang on, me thinks, those are both words for footy jumpers. How can that be?

So, Wikipedia says that a jersey is the following:
"It is usually close-fitting and machine knitted in contrast to a guernsey that is more often hand knit with a thicker yarn."
Both islands were known for their knitted jumpers in England, and somehow both have got into the English language and stayed there. I've never known whether the jumpers are meant to be called jerseys or guernseys, but as a result of this new found information, I will make a concerted effort to call them jumpers from now on.

Sad to hear from a business perspective, although the beer they produced was awful and not really en vogue at the moment. Could only drink Draught in a shandy

I know the person who has bought the coke plant. Maybe another 12 months or so before some action there.
They will probably buy that brewery land also. ( fingers crossed).
