That a Lotus Elise ...
1. would look good parked in front of a crowded footpath and cafes
2. has difficulty fitting between two kerbside trees 12m apart
3. makes a loud noise, when proving point 2
4. can bring a lot of smiles to faces of passing pedestrians
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.
Some of a mate's garage junk ended up at my place last month, which included my 12yo DCI irons, an X460 driver, Status 4w, Nike hybrid, etc.
Yesterday arvo, I thought about putting the DCIs back into play, and they went very well chipping/pitching around the practice green. So I played a couple of balls for 5 holes.
I re-learnt ...
1. Modern GI irons really are more forgiving for choppers, than sharp 'blade-like' soles.
2. Dynamically-fitted irons sit better behind the ball than off-the-shelf irons, no matter how big the name is.
3. The artficial surface in the nets is different to real grass, in texture, depth, resistance and lie angles.
4. 5 woods and hybrids are my true friends.
5. There was reason that I'd upgraded 4 years ago. I just needed reminding.
After a new grip and four strips of leadtape, the shortened X460 may be staying around here for a while longer. (Sounds bad, but we have an understanding, as my mate only plays 2-3 times a year and it saved him offloading $500 to Golfmart for a set of Brosnan start-ups.)

Smacking yourself in the ankle with a hammer hurts a lot at the time.
Going for a 6k run on said ankle the next day hurts. And the walk from the halfway point home with an embarrassing limp sucks more.

It's good to know what a sycophant is PM, when you start work they will be everywhere. I liked your spelling prior to the edit (psychofant). Most of the brown noses can't hurt you as they have their heads firmly wedged up the bosses asre but a psychofant could be dangerous.
PsychoInfant, chucky??
