Go Haysey!!!!
I have no idea what that is as nudie runs were not a feature of the 09 champs.
He is hardly Oscar the Grouch (AP has that sown up!)
And there is not Burglar character (like Hamburglar)

For the love of God please let Courty take this. Sandbagging is evil and must be stopped.
Although if Count wins, will he be under suspicion?
Anybody know a good handicapper?

The rains are here! Traditionally that means the coastal courses turn into a bog pretty quickly, so Cairns, PP, Sea Temple, Half Moon Bay etc. are all out. That only leaves Atherton & Mareeba. Atherton has just had greens cored, and as much as I wanted to play this match at a neutral venue, I'm prepared to forgo that detail in order to play somewhere dry(ish). I'm all in for Mareeba... thoughts?
OK, I have just spoken to Ned. He assures me that Mareeba is in top nick. The weather site says it has received less than 1mm rain in the last 24 hrs so it's gotta be the driest course in FNQ at the moment.
This match is now officially on at Mareeba tomorrow morning at 7:30ish.
Be there... or... don't.

How many bonus shots do you get for the non-neutral venue, Courty? Not that you need them.
So who won? Beauty or The Beast?

Well today would have been some of the best golf seen for the year.
Only for a couple of bad opening holes for Courty and a missed sitter of a putt on the 16th the outcome could have been to other way.
Despite Courty's two opening holes, the match turned square after 9 none holes.
From then on in it was blow for blow on the back nine with both of us shooting par, the difference being the 1 shot I had on the 12th hole being the difference early on and Courty's bogey on the 16th.
To his credit he ripped a drive up 17 and literally stiffed his second shot in the hole to walk away with birdie to go down the 18th 1 hole down.
Again he has ripped a drive loooong given the wet to only be stymied behind a tree requiring a knock down second shot.
Whilst he hit the 18th in regulation, it wasn’t one of his better approaches however his strong putting form nearly bought the match back to square to slide by ever so close on the high side.
Yours truly was pin high right on the green but as I did for most of the day, left my birdie putt more then just short to then have the par putt fall in on the low side of the hole.
The game was played in a relaxed atmosphere, the company was excellent, the sledgers behind us, well they just got slower and slower and the golf was very good.
Thanks to Ned Kelly Junior for caddying for me and thanks to everyone for turning up.

Well down Ned Kelly. Sounds like a great finish to the matchplay season.

Well done Ned, back luck Courty. Sounded like a good day.
I'm free for a hit next Saturday somewhere if anyone is playing.
As long as it's not raining
