    Default 2010 NQ Matchplay

    2010 OZgolf NQ Matchplay

Scoring is 20 points for a win, 10 for a squared match, with a point per margin (eg 2&1 is 3 points, 5&3 8 points).

    1st post updated.

Cookie & Chopper71 have been booted for inability to complete matches. Results of matches that they did play will not count.

Any movement here? There are still a few matches to be played.

Julie, when we get our match done?

    This is getting hard.

I was wondering when we are at Milla Milla, if we could do something like we compare our scores (stableford) and work out who would have won the match. I know you are playing blind, but what do you think about that?

I would be happy with anything that means we have a champ by the Champs and trophy awarded.
Hey, let's pop some Viagras and issue tickets with raging, mega-huge boners.

I think that's called a Fireball Matchplay. Blakey ran something similar a few years go. I'm happy with that. Using that basis, you could get your match with Haysey done in the same round if you both agreed.

    Great!
Hopefully Haysey will be Okay with it.

Can we get some of Russell's match's out of the way doing this as well?

Here it is. As it's a stroke event, we would just compare the nett score on each hole. Stableford wouldn't work as we would need to go by the Match Index, not the stroke index. You cool with that?

Russell could certainly do it against Solarman.

That's right Solarman, we will be tucking into the roast dinner that you have to sit down and have after the ninth hole. Love it!

I'll have to forfeit my last 2 matches as I don't know when I'll get to play them. Townsville this weekend and Brisbane next weekend. Then the boss wants me to get to St Andrews Beach at some stage as we've started there. Following that is Sydney work.

    Try again in 2011
And the mayor announced from Thursday on should not be shat into the creek anymore, because on Saturday beer is brewed.

    No worries, Brett.

I think we've now got enough to go to a knockout draw like the SEQ mob, so it should be easier to get through the required matches. Despite good intentions, we've now twice proven that the round robin format is too many matches to get through.

Table has been updated to reflect Brett's forfeits. There are only 4 matches remaining, 3 of which are being played at the Millaa Millaa Open. That only leaves Mike vs. NKJ...

Barring a minor miracle (double-header the weekend following the Millaa Millaa Open), it doesn't appear as though we're going to get done before the Champs (again). There is a slight window there if the semis are played the weekend after the MM Open, and both finalists are attending the Champs. That would be excellent if it happened, but I won't count on it.

No, it's not a challenge. I'm quite happy for you to remain on a lower handicap than me.
