Playing individual stroke, instead of Canadian foursomes.

(You had to drive the sponsor's brand to be eligible for the major prizes. So, buggar it, we weren't going to play half a game.)

Ironically, we were forever waiting on the group ahead, even though they took half the number of our strokes.

I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight.

Oh, that's right. Very well with the extra steak and beer, courtesy of those pee'ed off with only playing half a game in five hours and left before the dinner.

hey anyone know what the go would be using "iYardage" on the iPhone?? it doesn't use GPS the course is premapped and you just have the yardage to hazards and the greens etc. would that be ok to use on course??

Sounds like a DMD to me.

Or is it more like a yardage book?

more like a yardage book me thinks. you have to input where your ball landed if you want distance to the pin. it can't give you F/M/B of a green but gives you layout of a hole so you can see where the bunkers and likes are.

shows layout of courses such as SH. not having played there for a while it atleast gives you a general idea of how to play a hole with some bunkers being hidden from view at times.

no it's not entirely accurate but it's a good sighter.

Considering it's pennant season, let me ask the forum the question-

If you become aware that your opponent is using an iPhone as a DMD, do you call for his disqualification and claim the match?

Yes. Playing pennant is a perfectly excusable time to be a ****.
    Forum needs more banter.

Playing in the final group on day 2 of the KB Classic, I noticed one of the guys had a rangefinder with slope.

He is one of the longest tenured and respected members of the club and a friend of mine.

He said he cleared it with the pro, that slope would not be used, which would be true, but means nothing.

If I called him, I would have looked like the biggest dick and it would have killed my rep at the club, as practically no one would see my side of things. KB is pretty flat too, so nothing would have been gained.

It would have screwed my round if I were to make the call, so I politely told him that he was ****ing retarded and that he might want to reconsider in the future.
