pffft. Whilst I wasn't stumbling around, I was certainly pickled. Most alcohol I've consumed at a champs yet.

I got stuck into the booze as per usual, but had no nasty hangover the next day for a change. Drinking 1.5 litters of water before bed may of had something to do with it

This is true. I have been waiting for that photo to appear ... I also went all in on the cards when I realised I could no longer read them. I blame the medicines having a nasty reaction with the alcomahol. Had nothing to do with the quantity at all

I'm planning on making my champs debut in 2010, and reckon you have the location spot on.

Queensland has a lot of course options, a lot of very good courses and there are direct flights to Brisbane from everywhere.

As a once a year venture, cost is a minor consideration. People whinging about spending x on accommodation and a round, where they have ho-ed a grands worth of gear in the last 6 months might have their priorities wrong.

I look forward to getting up there next year and meeting you mob (even if you are generally Queenslanders)

I see 4 factors in choosing a venue.

    1. Can we get a 50+ group early afternoon Sat and mid morning Sunday.
    2. Good quality course.
    3. Accommodation on site or very close by.
    4. Can anyone (Shavey) get a great deal on golf and accommodations?

Shavey has been doing us wonders. Which reminds me if we want him to keep it up can those who have not paid the $10 for the room and pool table hire please sort it out!

I know you have to try, but surely if the miscreants haven't paid by now, they are not going to, and it's up to the rest of us to make it up.

Shavey, don't forget that the cash I gave you to square up my tab on Sunday also included the $10. Just making sure there wasn't a miscalculation. It's sad to think there are 4 tight-arses who can't part with 10 bucks.

Pffffft, we only put up with him as MC because he's free and he looks like a funnier version of Blakey, no way I'm paying for that!
