OK, to avoid confusion in the other thread, while this discussion has some steam, lets get somewhere.

This was taken from the original thread, and slightly modified.

This is my suggested itinerary for 2010. Hire a big house in the South West for 2 nights, we all squeeze in there, beds are prizes for leaders.

    Friday, March 26

    Start the drive south.

Ryder Cup Day. 2 teams picked in the 2010 OzGolf draft by our captains SnuggieThePokerMan and iTree-golfguy.

27 holes while we are fresh.

TEE OFF 0800 at Kennedy Bay

Kennedy Bay, play 18 holes, custom pairs event as designed by JC.
Binningup, play 9 holes individual matchplay. Captains to seed matches.

Drive to accommodation for the night. Poker night/pizza etc.

    Saturday, March 27

    Individual comp begins.
I am going to suggest 2 days of 18 holes, to enable a bit more social time. It seemed like most people wanted to head home Sunday afternoon before it got late. If we have more time Saturday PM (after a slightly later tee off than this year- thankfully), the weekend might not go so fast.

Dunsborough Lakes, 18 holes stableford. BOOKED FOR 0800

Trip to the Bootleg Brewery? (they are open 12-6pm, so depends on what time we get there, might be good for beer + snacks, then onto somewhere else for dinner)

    Sunday, March 28

    Start drive back towards Perth.

Capel GC, 18 holes stableford. BOOKED FOR 0830

Late lunch at Joaquin's old mans. A BYO BBQ could work me thinks. We could grab some meat on the way.

    Accommodation?

We have a house booked in Bunker Bay, overlooking the coast. Sleeps 10, and the rest can sleep on the floor, couches, roll outs etc.....

    Dates?

    March 26-28

    Rough costings

All 3 days of golf would come in at the $110 mark for green fees. (Kennedy Bay @ guests rate $25, Binningup $10 (voucher), Capel $30 (voucher), DL $45)

Accommodation, budget $50 per punter for the 2 nights. House rental is $560 for the group plus some fees for cleaning etc. The more golfers, the cheaper it will be.

$1 skins all weekend, and an estimated $25 donation to the "prize pool" for novelties. Non Ozgolfers are eligible for novelties but not for overall prizes.

Love B Guy. My biggest highlight is seeing him on stage live in Japan.

simmsy, you and GolfNut can bunk up together in one of the doubles...

Apparently, I heard that he'd give an arm and a leg...well, at least an arm!!!

On a serious note though, thanks for organising the accomodation...

I had a word with ZRW today and tried to convince him to attend these champs. As his other half works every second weekend, he'll have to let us know a little closer to the actual date.

I spoke with him about the Friday at Kennedy, and if needed, he'll put a word in to get us all on at guest rates, in case there is any issues with me getting that many guests on.

The course is in AWESOME shape and is deserving of the number 4 ranking in the country. The greens are very firm, which was always the biggest complaint about the course. They are rolling about 10.5, which is perfect for them.

The big thing is that they are rolling, not bouncing. I hope some of the East Coast boys can make it over to play the course.

i might have to get down there for a hit over chrissy JC. the greens are the only things that i have ever had against kb. not that they have been bad just not as good as the rest of the course. great to hear they are coming up to scratch now as well. 10.5 is a pretty slick speed for them down there i would say, start blowing away from you other wise.

be good to see a couple of wise men from the east come and experience the golf coast.
I'm thinking of taking the wed/thur off work as well to play on those days perhaps. if anyone else is keen, long way off i know but i'm as about as excited as golfnut is at getting an arm up me at the 2010 WA champs.

2010 is here. I can start getting excited about this thing now

Who am I kidding, I have been excited since I stumbled off the 18th green at Bunbury last November.

Thought I would revive this thread. Is there any more interest?

Remember, the dates are locked in. This thing is good to go.

yep, we need to start looking at firm numbers as March will be here before we know it.

any eastern staters looking to stake their claim on WA soil??

i think also adlo on the Friday night we do a live draw for groups on the saturday, pick out of a hat or something like that anyway.

Courses are locked, but do we need to confirm bookings with each of the courses?

Accom is sorted - I will be picking up the keys a few days before

Maxibon shirt needs to be drycleaned and dyed a fairly unfriendly colour.

TourFit must wear it on day 1 of the individual comp as last years biter.

Yep, I'll talk to Bunbury and Busso to work out bookings. Will do so this week. I thought I'd wait until 2010 to do so.

Should we aim for a booking of 16?

Baldy has only recently joined, hopefully he shows interest.

Can't remember re: SE. I'm sure he should make it. He better!

Also we were trying to convince Flavzz to time his trip over to coincide, as he was gagging to play KB.

is it worth while starting a thread that doesn't look like your typical WA thread so it gets a few of the over east lads looking at it and then get them to come across.

how many people have WA threads on their ignore list??
