OK, to avoid confusion in the other thread, while this discussion has some steam, lets get somewhere.

This was taken from the original thread, and slightly modified.

This is my suggested itinerary for 2010. Hire a big house in the South West for 2 nights, we all squeeze in there, beds are prizes for leaders.

    Friday, March 26

    Start the drive south.

Ryder Cup Day. 2 teams picked in the 2010 OzGolf draft by our captains SnuggieThePokerMan and iTree-golfguy.

27 holes while we are fresh.

TEE OFF 0800 at Kennedy Bay

Kennedy Bay, play 18 holes, custom pairs event as designed by JC.
Binningup, play 9 holes individual matchplay. Captains to seed matches.

Drive to accommodation for the night. Poker night/pizza etc.

    Saturday, March 27

    Individual comp begins.
I am going to suggest 2 days of 18 holes, to enable a bit more social time. It seemed like most people wanted to head home Sunday afternoon before it got late. If we have more time Saturday PM (after a slightly later tee off than this year- thankfully), the weekend might not go so fast.

Dunsborough Lakes, 18 holes stableford. BOOKED FOR 0800

Trip to the Bootleg Brewery? (they are open 12-6pm, so depends on what time we get there, might be good for beer + snacks, then onto somewhere else for dinner)

    Sunday, March 28

    Start drive back towards Perth.

Capel GC, 18 holes stableford. BOOKED FOR 0830

Late lunch at Joaquin's old mans. A BYO BBQ could work me thinks. We could grab some meat on the way.

    Accommodation?

We have a house booked in Bunker Bay, overlooking the coast. Sleeps 10, and the rest can sleep on the floor, couches, roll outs etc.....

    Dates?

    March 26-28

    Rough costings

All 3 days of golf would come in at the $110 mark for green fees. (Kennedy Bay @ guests rate $25, Binningup $10 (voucher), Capel $30 (voucher), DL $45)

Accommodation, budget $50 per punter for the 2 nights. House rental is $560 for the group plus some fees for cleaning etc. The more golfers, the cheaper it will be.

$1 skins all weekend, and an estimated $25 donation to the "prize pool" for novelties. Non Ozgolfers are eligible for novelties but not for overall prizes.

I like all the suggestions so far. The Ryder Cup idea is great I reckon!

Happy with the courses and everything as well.

Bootleg is a good shout great food great beer.

And there are so many accom options down south, but that one looks pretty good adlo. Bring on 2010!

OK. I have thrown the Sunday late lunch at my old mans place in the mix for those not wanting to return to Perth ASAP. We can always tee off a bit earlier at Bunbury GC.

They can accommodate big numbers. Just make it a BYO BBQ affair. I was blown away by the spread they gave us this year and in no way can make them do that again.

They have a great pool/gazebo etc, will be great for late March.

You know...we could play Bunbury on Sunday morning, and for those interested, we could do a lazy 9 at Binningup on the way back. If we do this we could go back to 27 on Friday, so we can get to the accomodation in the light + have more social time...(or not)

Format it like the Skins Game (with some 'bigga dorra' than the normal skins)...Not everyone will play it, but for those that do maybe $10-15 to get in, and work out skins from there !!!

    8 people @ $15 = $120...no NP's on Par 3's, but you could do #1-4 as $10 skins, #5-8 as $15 skins and $20 on the last...

Although a pool party sounds good too...

I know iTree will vote for the 81 hole weekend, but personally would prefer 72. I am happy to play a big dorra side game at Busso or Bunbury.

Yeah, 72 would be better...we could just drop the 2nd 9 at Binningup on Friday...do it as 9 holes with the preferred 2 ball ambrose fun event.

And finish the weekend with the big dorra skins game !!! A chance to redeem misery, or financially cement OzGolf comp glory...or repeat weekend mediocrity.

We were far too pushed for time on the Sunday. I still vote for the sundowner wind down.

Yeah thinking about the friday could be a struggle to do 36 holes that day. What with less sunlight and more driving to get to the accomodation?

Less sunlight in late March, are you serious?

With a shorter lunch break, we could do it.

730-8 tee times at Mandurah CC, last group off the course by 1230 at the latest.

Lunch on the drive down (no need for anything fancy)

2-230 off the tee at Binningup, finish as the sun goes down.

    Is that so unrealistic?

I'm inclined to agree as long as I don't have to drink beer or wine.

    I vote for 27/18/27...

FRI) Early tee time at Mandurah...less time for 'lunch', straight to Binnigup for 9. Poker Night (JC supplying Rohipnol again for adlo)

SAT) Busselton, Bootleg + group dinner??

SUN) Earlyish tee time at Bunbury...9 at Binningup (for those not heading back straight away).

It would be easy to substitute the wind up/lunch/pool party at adlo's old man's place instead of the 2nd Binningup 9, depending on who wants what...

Hey Pieface...do those jocks come in white??

    36/36/27

Find a shorter course for the Saturday 36. Would like to do 36 on one day at least.

That's a little too extreme Fit. You're years away from that.

However, pretty soon, you might have to change the Adidas logo on your belt to one with either more stripes or thicker ones. 3 might just not cut it, especially if you were trying to hold up id's giant shorts.

You are golf mad my fwend.

We will decide closer to the date. I think a 36 hole day would be fun. Friday or Saturday is the logical option.

If Sunday came to a vote, my vote is 18 followed by late lunch.

If the vote is for 36 on Friday, then I'm for a lighter Sunday (and lunch).

id figures that he has to walk miles, to build up his thighs, to fit in the shorts.
