    Default Are we there yet?

A thread is needed to capture some of our excitement.

Courty has been asking me for months whether I was excited about the upcoming Champs, and I wasn't at the time. But in the last couple of weeks, it all seems to be counting down to this weekend, and I can't wait.
It's also the first time, I've decided to play all four rounds.

I've told the missus that she will be seeing very little of me over the whole weekend, and even though I'm not staying at the resort Friday night, I'll be there to be part of the action for as long as I can.

    Giddyup!

It should be, but the greens are still a little bumpy.

    Probably.

Serious question - how long does it normally take in Qld for greens to fully recover from a full coring?

I played Redcliffe 3 weeks back and they were still a little bumpy/sandy. Had a hit the other afternoon and they didn't seem any different.

Have an awesome weekend of golf boys.

After doing our own mini-version, I understand the way so many of you look forward to it every year. Would love to have made the trip over.

Take a heap of pics and keep us posted on the results.

All depends on the weather ??

If we have a bit of rain, which we've had out this way, they should bounce back after a couple of weeks.

When did you play there last ?

If the greens are still lumpy at Redcliffe, we will be knocking everything 10 foot past at Pacific Harbour

About 4 to 6 weeks depending on the weather (cooler windy nights takes longer to recover)and the number of dustings with sand they receive. That's if the coring was with 1/2 inch hollow tynes.

I just spoke to the Grunter. He was telling me that everyone was doing 10km/h under the speed limit on the Pacific Highway. I suggested that might be as fast as it gets today.

Welcome to Queensland Grunt. Home of the worst road system and slowest drivers in Australia.

I was under the impression you left Canberra to get away from the crazies on the road.

I must be Nostradamus. Started to get gastro yesterday (kids got it earlier in the week) and am now feeling pretty crook. Off to the docs at 10am to get a medical certificate because work wont believe me otherwise.
