the one day break was good for my back - not too good for my swing...

tried a new putter today - Oddie Belly CS Mid...it's either an inch too long, or my belly has really gone out... I'm afraid it's the latter...

also got a V Steel 5 wood in the bag as well...had one shot with it...SOLID!!!

I played on Saturday gone, hacked around the front nine and shot 1 over the back with a double bogie on 10! I just read in the paper that I won the NTP on the par 3 11th hole (151 water carry - see here) with an 8 iron to 1m.

    Regular 9 holes yesterday pm.

Started out thinking it wasn't going to be my day. Par 3 1st gave PW too much height and the ball that was headed for heart of the green got blown off to the left. Pitched on and 1 putted for par. Next 3 holes all bogeys and then went birdie, par, birdie, par, bogey to finish at 2 over for the front 9. (par 34)

Again for someone off 22 I couldn't have been happier. My best 1/2 round ever. I don't think even I could've gone around in 20 over for the back 9 so hopefully things are coming together and my quest for 18 h'cap is on track.

Sounds like you are well on track, Virgal.
    2 over for 9 holes!!!!!
I play off 13 and can't recall many nines that good.
(Although our resident nine hole expert, g69, probably has you covered.)

Hope you can convert the nine form into a good 18.

    38 points at Wantima today.

chipped and putted really well, just had a couple of brainfarts on the tee that cost me dearly.

3 birdies for the round was pretty good for me also

I scored 36 pts and made it seem difficult to do so. Played some very ordinary shots, but somehow avoided making any blowouts.

    79 -6 = 73
I had 5 bogeys on the trot from 9 through 13 then hit the last 5 greens for 5 pars.

    7 bogeys and 11 pars

So another round goes by without a birdie :smt040

    Result:
The 2ball is out, gooorne; in the cupboard…It’s the only thing I can put it down too
