Nice, what area did you get the jack from? June was the last time I took the yak out and I have serious withdrawals. Work and family life seems to be getting in the way of everything right now.

What do you fish out of?

I have a Ocean Kayak that I fish from if caravaning otherwise I fish from a 4.2 Stacer Seahorse 30hp.
For the crabs I buy 10kg broken food grade pilchards at $3 a kg and one kg bag will do all 4 pots. I use tennis ball tins with holes punched in them for baiting the pots. I do sandies and fish for flathead or muddies and go for jew and jacks.
I caught the Jack with a 3 hook rig and one of the broken pilchards from the crab pots. Caught tail end of first light in canal near pontoon.

I fish to get my food for the week so after 2 hours of crabbing had enough so boat is out of water and playing golf. Crabs were caught within a klm of boat ramp. I fish for a feed and not really interested in boating and fishing as such it is just a means to a end.

Now you only need another 78 Sandies to cover your Auto sparky bill!

Nice bag, might inspire me to get the boat out!

I thought you would be chasing something else seeing you are single now
