He should be fine, as he was walking backward when the muppet raised his hand at him, clear self defence.
I'm divided on it. That tool got what he deserved, but the bouncer is enormous, is effectively a lethal weapon and is probably lucky to not be facing a manslaughter charge.

Just saw that the cops reviewed the incident and no action will be taken. Good result. Some blokes need to learn lessons the hard way and the bouncer was kind enough to oblige. FWIW my favourite bit was the bald punter who was acting all hard right up to the point that his mate got laid out. The shock on his face was delicious.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!
Not conflicted, bouncer should be charged. Bloke who got hit is clearly a ****wit, but the other security had dealt with him fine and could've easily pushed him away like they had, bloke just wanted to be a hero and show off his skillz. Bouncers everywhere will get off on this kind of shit.
That bouncer didn't get hit once and the ****wits pushed and shoved the other security guards and they still didn't react that way, he was wanting to punch him. I get wanting to see muppets get dealt with, but this was a power trip, sadly pretty typical bouncer behaviour.
[DevilsAdvocate]The security guy probably wont need to get off because there is nothing on. If the bloke who got hit wants to press charges then it might be different.
I dont think the security guy could successfully argue he was defending himself, as if he thought he was going to be hit he would have blocked it first. That he is a pro boxer makes it even harder for him to defend his one punch knockout.
The dickhead deserved to get whacked but a judge would take the view he could have died.[/devilsadvocate]
Went to the driving range to give my mum (who's trying to take up golf) a bit of a lesson. My dad (who also wants to get back into golf - used to be an 18-20hcap) brought his old Brosnan Silver Bullet driver with for some reason. I told him he needs to get rid of it, because clubs these days are so much easier to hit - this thing has a tiny head, 9.5* loft, rock hard grip, steel shaft. Then, with no warm up, and no tee, I hit a ball with it - frozen rope, 220+ carry, heaps of roll. Such a small thing in the scheme of things to get excited over, but feels good.
Yeah... to be technically correct todays drivers are not easier to hit, they are easier when you miss
