Being asked to fill in for one of directors in a team for the Cairns Chamber of Commerce golf day this afternoon.
Also playing in a coporate golf day with the old man on Tuesday and playing in the local ANZ charity golf day next Friday.

3 corporate golf days in the space of about a week - fantastic.

Did I also mention the weather in Cairns today is absolutely glorious.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

The pair of emails that Solarman sent me this morning. Quality.

Early morning drives up the coast to Port Douglas. Watching the sun rise off to my right. Sometimes I ****ing love this country.

And while I'm at it. Wearing a jumper to golf for the first time this year. Love it.

That is one of the great drives I reckon, just superb. Any tourists that had driven a hire car off the road along the way? I have never driven it and not seen at least one off in a gutter somewhere!.

The hospitality shown by Courty for putting me up for the night after I missed my plane. Even took me out for a quick nine with a near new set of MP 32's!

    Very much appreciated mate...

No problems, mate. Happy I could help out.

I better check the spare bag to see if the clubs are all still there.

And then not to mention the effort of getting up at 4:30
AM to take me to the airport.

Hope you managed to join the boys for the game after your dance with the dunny all night.

And the pleasure of Haysey's company for the second time for as many days for more pizza and piss!

Unfortunately I didn't go. I came back home and finally got a few hours sleep.

RACQ have only just left. The battery died 2 months out of warranty.

Not today Dave. It is however a common occurrence in the wet season.
