Margaret River reds are sub-standard, but you can still get a good "MR Red"

I liked Watershed, and some place that had a 'Kisschasey' (named after the band) wine... the vineyard was Swings and Roundabouts. You can get their wines locally here in the east, I don't mind them at all.

I was also gobsmacked by the real estate that Voyager takes up - absolutely immaculate. Their reds weren't bad, but I felt compelled to visit just to help them pay their maintenance bill.

Agree that Voyager is good wine, but like most things Margaret River (hell, most things in Perth & surrounds) when they develop a good reputation the prices go through the roof.

Voyager now falls into the "overpriced" category for me.

I am so tired of struggling to find good value food & wine in WA.

Visited Voyager in 1998, they hadn't been open long, and the wine was still cheap.

All cellar doors are overpriced. They prey on the fact that you are a captive (and perhaps slightly tipsy) audience and for an extra $3-$10 per bottle, you are fair game.

(Hmm.... Cmd-C + Cmd-V into the 'What pisses me off thread I think....).

Yeah, seems to be more of a gripe than a thing you like. Anyway...... ......... I am not referring to cellar door, they are overpriced in bottle shops too.

    My new specialist!

Started the process of getting a second opinion on my troubles with him yesterday and he booked me straight into his next surgery window on Wednesday next week to confirm which of the 3 possible plans he has in mind to pursue.

He said "I think we will have you on the mend before Christmas", is a mad Cats supporter and quite possibly the nicest man I've met in ages.
