I knew we would have to agree on something sooner or later. Well put.

The exact thing I've been saying since the start of this. Ridiculous that anyone would think otherwise or try to wrap it up in a free speech/political correctness argument.

I chuckled at it intially, and still do. It doesn't really piss me off either. Maybe we need a new emotion type thread.

If Mike was insulted by that, then he has a very thin skin. He is perfectly able to contact me or the mods to get it deleted and an apology. But please feel free to tap dance around issues to ensure that everyone likes you, plenty do it. And to make sure you understand the relevance to me I have a daughter in prep at a Catholic school and if the Principal and Teachers allowed this behaviour at my school then they would want be prepared to stand from under.

It has absolutely nothing to do with freedom of speech, expression or political correctness. The 8 year old is expressing nothing, he is simply dressing up as a character from a book. Unfortnately, is this case, he might be a vehicle to express the parents feelings.

Dressing your child up as a person the was responsible for the death of 6 million Jews is unaccpetable. It could be the first real experience that these children would have with Hitler and it would portray him in a positive way, which is something that should never occur. I'd be piseed if my little ones came home chanting Hitler.

As for the devil, who cares? There is a big line between fiction and reality.

Probably not, but there should be. The commie left did a good propaganda job with Uncle Joe. It also helps to win World Wars.
