1) Walking into the local pool/aquatic centre with the mercury tipping 42*, and walking out with it at 22*!
2) On the way to the pool a car sat at the green light and we nearly missed them - in fact I went through a dark orange light to get through (we were only the 3rd car in line for the right-turn arrow).
As we round the corner and head west along Victoria Rd, an unmarked cop car fires up the siren .... oh shit I thought .... they rush past me to the silly moll who was in front of me. I'm guessing she was texting and/or chatting on the mobile while driving!
3) My 2 year old sitting in the back singing "Nee naw nee naw nee naw nee naw...." when an unmarked cop car rushes past and pulls over the car mentioned in part 2).

The end of school holidays.
Forum needs more banter.

Firefox - installed it last night - how much quicker is it than IE? Hasn't frozen on me yet either. IE was doing that every 3 or 4 minutes.
Buying an 80cm LCD TV for $499 this week, then when they indicated they didn't have any floor stock, they gave me the display one for $450 instead. Gets all the free to air channels barring SBS and Briz31. (If anyone can give me a hint on finding those ones that would be appreciated.)

Being 2 hours away from a tee time at Elanora
Daughter's 9th today. We're off to the circus.
Sunday week I'm off to another circus (at least I think that's where I'm going. Someone told me there's lots of clowns there).

PM, Elanora was is in immaculate condition, couch fairways, fantastic greens, I had my usual issues on them like I do at Monash. A number of holes reminded me of Avondale. Front nine was so so, not any memorable holes but plenty of good holes on the back nine. They do things their own way there, no timesheets, people go in the comp at the end of the round and apparently they do gimmies. All a little odd for us as visitors.
Highlight was a 7 iron to an inch on the 7th
Birdie, Birdie finish, then Winning the comp and only losing 0.2 off the handicap

Mmmm
You didn't think 1, 2, 6 or even 9 were memorable!? I mean even an idiot would like the 9th, although that bunker positioning on the left is a bit odd.
Were there many others on the course that day? Last time I bashed it around there, the ratio of green keepers to golfers would have been like 3:1.
1st is a nice opener, 2nd, don't think you would bother trying to hit it in two (too much risk) so I just layed up a 7 iron made par n moved on. The par 5, 6th was rated 1 or 2 but the fairway is as wide as a football field. One of the boys hit in the bunker on the 9th, was dead behind the trees in front so I am not really sure why it is there as you said. Nice holes, memorable, not for me.
I am sounding as thou I didn't enjoy the day, thought it was a really good course, condition A1 and I loved the back nine, but NSW it aint.
the Steam gaming service and its' crazy bargains.
The full X-Com series this weekend for US$2 - 5 games varying from undisputed classic to junk. But the first and third of the series are well worth the price of admission.
