Had reason to head down to Brisbane this morning with the offspring and needed to stop off at Westfield Chermside to get her some shoes.
After purchasing said shoes we had lunch in the food court and it was a truly interesting experience to witness the social misfits which are let loose around the place. I cannot decide which of the following three tables in the near vicinity was the most amusing to me. I only wish that one day somebody does a one hour documentary on the life of Westfield Chermside.
Firstly, there was the “nom nom nom” table. A group of four fatties who were going there hardest to destroy about a cubic yard of Kentucky Fried Chicken. I would put a conservative estimate of about 700kg between them. One in particular was so huge that it appeared that her face was too small for her head. For some reason I found this particularly amusing.
Secondly, there was a table of four aboriginal lads who would have been about 18 years old each. Nothing particularly amusing about this at first, but the four of them decided to stick it to the establishment and express their individuality by wearing exactly the same thing. That was amusing to me in itself, but the fact that they weren’t wearing a shirt or footwear was pretty funny. The fact that all they wore was tight black denim jeans and a white belt had me giggling like a school girl.
Thirdly, there were two young gay guys who had shaved the sides of their heads and coloured the top so that they looked like roosters.
But that just made me think of Yossarian.

Having a $5k debt paid out on a failed employee share scheme by the new owners of the company.
Took out two employee plan interest free loans and bought shares at $4 and $6 respectively only to see the shares crash thanks to the extremely dodgy operations of the board being exposed in the media.
Original company was then bought out at $1.50 per share so all current employees were left with huge debts to pay, and the new company wasn't made aware of the issue until the last minute.
