Playing match play against mates. Have not done it much but have started to do it when we are not playing comp.

    Today finished square after 18.

    Few highlights from the round.

    I won a hole with a birdie 4 to beat 12
Squared hole with both of us birdies on a par 4
Squared hole with both of us double bogey including coast to coast chips from both followed by chip in and long putt sunk

I birdied the par 5 but he kept playing anyway (no one behind us) ended up scoring a 12 (ob, unplayable) but because it was match play the game was still on. If we played stroke would have been game over

I haven't put myself on the radar since May, but today my driver swing speed hit 100mph and it wasn't even a session working on speed; it was just a swing while I was working on driver face impact. It was only a few swings that hit that mark, but getting to 100mph with the swing has been a goal this year. Average last time was around 93mph, and I'm hoping this time it is at least 95mph, but I don't know because the battery went flat on the radar before I could check the day's stats. Pretty happy with the triple figures though, and like those ball speeds up over 140mph. The gym work must be paying off.

Maybe that's why they weren't going straight.

Having to change shafts was a concern I had about upping the speed.

The only time I hit a bomb is when I try not to hit a bomb! Which then leads to me trying to hit bombs......... So, considering I only play a couple of times a year, that would equate to one bomb for every 5 years, at best. Maybe decade?

Bought some waterproof Footjoy Ultralights last winter from the pro-shop when having to use up some credits. Loved them, they got plenty of wear especially in the wet last 12 months.

They split and leaked near my toe, a couple of days short of the 12 months.

Into the pro shop, off to the distributer, and replaced under warranty in about a week. Good after sales service by all involved.

So much hand wringing about how against the spirit of the game and it probably was in test cricket, not in T20.

in T20, 3rd umpire reviews 2 random balls per over, if the runner is leaving too early, dock them 2 runs or reduce the balls faced.

Dan Christian was right to chip that yarpie/pom from the Scorchers, was taking the piss last night.

Two ladies had a hole in one on the same hole today in our Saturday comp.
8th hole on the Kurrai course.
They had one group of ladies between their groups.
