After the hardest six months of my working life, and coming off five weeks of intense on call for an organisation of 8000 staff and 250 sites during a complex merger, taking my kids down the coast and feeling the warmth of the sun, and putting feet in the ocean was just the tonic.

I can't imagine how my Victorian friends locked up for months have coped, but I truly wish them well. I hope they have stayed fit mentally and physically, and can soon enjoy a rapid escape from the current restrictions.

My home club have chosen to foot the bill for the MiScore scoring app beyond the trial period.

For use outside of the home club though you need to pay the measly $16.50 per annum. IMO a very reasonable fee considering the convenience of it.

MiClub are going to clean up over this app. Serious $$$ to be made once the trial period ends. If the SA rep wants to move on Ill be keen to take his place!

Yeah nah. I’ll use a card when I play elsewhere. No news from my club about it yet.Edit: The club’s paying.

Yes but clubs have been paying for golf software for almost ever and its rarely cheap. There may be no new overhead for the club.

Like we’re currently paying for printing (external and at the club), checking, terminals, scanners and time for 20,000 paper cards already?

    Coomealla...

If Port Fairy and Barnbougle are the top two best value for money offerings in Australia I reckon this track would be in third place

Conditions are way better than last time (2015) Holes are better than what I remember as well.

Will post some pics end of week

Im going to Ireland next year and my yankee mate is pencilling in a round at Royal County Down AUD485 for 18 holes. Compulsory Caddy fee extra. But 36 holes is a bargain at $666. Thats more than my annual membership. His answer is Pebble Beach costs even more for 18!

We got it pretty good here in Australia.... but yeah $120 is too much 😀

I've always loved Coomealla Golf Course even when its in not so great shape.

I used to play it 2-3 times a years when I was in the Riverland. Berri had reciprocal rights with Wentworth and Coomealla so it was early start 2hr drive to Wentworth. Play Wentworth in the morning, drive up the road for Coomealla in the afternoon then 2 1/2hr drive home. Was a member there as well for a few years when a group of us used to do the Cobram Baroga play/stay package every year. With the discount we got on meals and drinks at the Club plus a round of Golf it was cheaper to be a member than paying full price for everything. Coomealla was always the stop point on way home for the night rather than drive 9-10hrs.
