    Default 1st tee photo thread

what about a thread where we can display pic's of the first hole on our course

.... just something to show everyone the tee shot we face everytime we play at our home course.

I'd go for the 1st and 18th. First drive out and last drive home.

Just make it any hole on the course. That way, each person can just share the most unique or difficult holes.

    Kind regards,

    Ben (Ducky).

I agree. The 1st, 10th or 18th Holes may not be the most spectacular holes on the course.

Don't think we need to have a whole forum for it, unless we have a golf course forum, where the reviews could go as well. Why don't you just start a thread, jarro?

I think we need a forum dedicated to golf course reviews and pics. Something along the lines of the Whats In the Bag forum, with the name of the course as the thread title. It'd be an interesting read and a useful resource if you're planning on playing somewhere different.

And this could be aligned with the course guide idea of davidp's.

Why not take a photo of the signature hole for your home course?

Who's got (or knows someone with) quality printing facilities? Note - i'm not talking about your new HP colour inkjet.

Surely someone out there knows someone has an industry contact who can knock-up the inaugural OzGolf calender? All we need is 12-18 quality images (digi camera's sent to max res, raw format?) supplied to someone who can forward them to a printing press.

First, you need to get approval from the administrators, then you will need them to set up the appropriate forum area.

I like the idea of showing the signature hole, but do all courses have a signature hole?
Also a good idea to take a snap or two of the index 1 hole, with maybe some tips on how to play it.

I suggest we just leave it up to the person who is taking the piccies to decide what they want to show.

Instead of a pictorial about your home course, or the 1st tee box, or the sand bucket rack - we should take a photo of the 1 thing that makes your course unique.

My avatar is from Kyogle Golf Course, on a blind tee which disects a par 3. A piece of pipe attached to a chain, stuck to a tree with a rusted tin as 'The Gong'. Love it.

If that's a club-wide feature, don't let me stop you

At Casino there's the 11th green, which the 'locals' sometimes utilise as an outside lavvy

    OK then: http://www.geocities.com/c0urty/cairns080504.html

Arguably the signature hole at Cairns. 151m water carry par 3 11th hole.
Can be very nasty. I saw a 9 marker have 18 on this hole.
Index is only 11 I think.
