That's horseshit. Everyone should have the opportunity to play club champs.

If the field is full they need to sort some sort of alternative.

And take action against those who pull out later without playing all rounds

As they should. At least there’s some cost if you don’t show

    Those are really good ideas.

You can bet your left testicle that everyone is just putting themselves down and 'three random mates' to take a group. I am on standby and wholly expect to get a spot on the day, but pre-paying is a decent idea ti discourage the smokeys.

We've been pre-paying for some years. The Saturdays are always full fields but it doesn't stop the Sundays from being significantly quieter.

They should open the club champs booking sheets to A grade 48 hours earlier than usual, and B grade 24 hours earlier.

And tough luck, if you are one of those who regularly have a 100+ strokes (taking over 5 hours) wanting a spot in the club champs. Play better for the next 12 months and get into B grade.

Or do outright club champs on different days than the grade champs.

I think these are great ideas also. Club Champs should be the best player in the club off the stick, and I'm saying that as a chopper off 15. Graded Club Champs could be on Sundays. Anyone is free to enter the gross event, but if you want to be graded join the Sunday rounds. Maybe after two rounds make a cut, and both the gross and graded final rounds could be on the last two Saturdays to generate that final round hype.

    Thats insane.

We have to pay for the 4 rounds up front, book your tee time, pay at the time, and can't book a 4some. It breaks up the likelihood of the same people playing together and getting away with dodgy stuff.

The daily time sheet is opened up 2 days or so in advance, giving the Champs players full priority access.

Pay up front for all rounds before round 1 has commenced is a great idea. Might weed out a few time wasters leaving the spots for those that really want to play. Club gets a financial win when the dummy spitters pull out

Wasn't totes devo, you're right, so he certainly remains a little flognut.

He asked for a head only price, I gave it to him, he explains how (singular) devo he is, how he's poor and what's the lowest price I can go, which I give him. He then lowballs me, then when I tell him to jog on he asks if my lowest price that I gave him before includes the shaft or not.

    ****ing simpleton kids, I swear.

Oh, and then tells me I'm a big tough guy for swearing at a 16 year old.

I didn't swear AT HIM. I said "why the **** would my lowest possible price on a question about head only now include a shaft, which would then be 25% off my asking price".

Does his grandfather live in WA?

At that age, he can get the same results from Brosnan or PGF clubs.

had a guy who did the same on FB with me; looking for a set of irons so I offered a set of Cally XR (with the usual mark up for low ballers); he asked a lot of questions over a few days, um and ah around, then he threw a low ball offer, while within my acceptable range, was still pretty low... so I accepted his offer....

then he turns around and said "oh, but I only have only 1/2 of what I offered, will you take this lower offer?" so he was trying to get 75% off my original price...

    damn time waster....

Running out of gas on the weekend! 25 years we've had a 90kg tanker filled bottle, bit late last year Elgas made us change to two exchange 45kg bottles. No issues really (cept it running out during someone's shower, but a quick flick of the switch and it's back on. Cept it seems the last time a bottle ran out I want here, and no one put in the order for a new bottle. So naturally we run out on a long weekend. No hot water, no cooking. Ok, our fault! Rang Tuesday morning, can't supply us until Wednesday! Ok, it's our fault.
Wednesday night, find out they never came! Bugger.

Been through this with my grandmother recently. Absolutley disgusting disease. I am sorry for anyone that has to go through this with their loved ones. God willing they legalise euthanasia sometime soon.

Could someone with dementia be of sound enough mind to make the decision? I am afraid what you are asking for here is legal extermination rather than euthanasia.
