Australia Day and all of the bogan traits that come with it, from flags on cars to drunken wankers.
    Forum needs more banter.

It shouldn't exist. ANZAC Day is far more relevant, although that is losing it's meaning too and becoming a piss up.

How many dawn services have you been to shaun? How many time have you gone to the local rsl and had a beer with a digger you have never met? ANZAC day and Australia day should be what you make them for yourself were all different we all do things differently that's what makes this country great

It should so exist, as a public holiday and a fine excuse for a day off.

All the flag-waving patriotic crap, the annoying community events and the fireworks can go though.

Zig - you would love ANZAC Day for the right reasons. Unfortunately you are starting to become part of the minority.

The only thing Australia Day has going for it is the double time and a half which I will be earning for 10 hours tomorrow.

Pricks who steal drivers out of player's bags during presentation. Some bogan stole Cameron Smith's Titleist driver on the weekend during the trophy presentations of the Tasmanian Junior Masters.

Wouldn't be any good for the thief. He'd need a two-headed driver.

i don't do the flag thing, i do drink most years, but not this year. i dont go around in a big crown running around with flags.

Australia is in a hurry losing it's national identity and that sux, australia day is for us to think about and be happy where we live, not for ****ers to whinge about what we are and how we are, if you don't like our country and freedom please feel free to go home and live there, but please don't try and make my country australia like your country, because it is not, it is australia and we have been just fine drinking vb or xxxx or whatever, having a laugh with our mates, wearing stubbies(although these seem nearly gone now) and budgie smugglers on old codgers.

we love it hot we dont like to cover up and we to like our women to be beautiful and not hidden we love everything australian.

Australia day should get bigger and bigger, so should anzac day or there will come a time when our kids have no idea where we come from what a lamington is or why its alright to drink rum and coffee at 5am anzac day.

Not wrong Shaun. It's a 905 which may find its way onto e-bay.

There would be a reason for that. Remember, computers only do what we tell them to do

    That's so low..

Things that piss me off.. Grunting in tennis. It doesn't do **** all for your game, it is only done to put the opponent off. Should be made illegal.

    No Andy.

Edit: Except for today when I was imitating Klebenova's grunt.

I have and it wasn't to put off my opponent. Your theory has been debunked.....

I believe the men's grunts, I believe some of the women's grunts, but some of them are ridiculous. Why hasn't some scientist got onto this and shown that there is no way that it is necessary?

    not exactly scientific

or the other school of thought is

"Most folks can hit the ball much much harder than they can control, so the reason for grunting etc is to make sure you are exhaling at contact, not to increase power."

p.s i'm changing my name to Mr Pumphrey

I specifically meant some of the women's grunts, in particular the delayed or double banger grunts.
