Industry super funds....not all of them...just some.

If you have a clause for Insurance within Super that states...

"Insurance only valid if working for <insert sector> and receiving regular Super Guarantee Payments"

This fund was quite happy to keep taking out premiums and send out statements to say they where covered even though no new SG payments where being made.

Word to the wise...if you are employed in a sector that uses an Industry Fund.....and you leave for whatever reason (go into business for yourself for example)...CHECK YOUR INSURANCE CONDITIONS!!!!!

Thankfully it had nothing do with me.

Just a client complaining that they "assumed" everything was fine and apparently....it wasn't

I will lead this off with none of my Asian Friends are like this BUT, what is it with this culture of not having respect for those on lower levels in the work environment. I have a customer that i deal with whose operations manager will not deal with me as I am not high enough for him to deal with. He will only deal with those of equal level or higher.

It certainly make delivering a decent product to him difficult, my boss just says it is part of asian culture and we have to deal with it.

When I taught English in Korea, none of the Korean teachers would make eye contact with the school owners. As Westerners, we didn't have these issues.

Maybe he just won't deal with you because he doesn't want to get nailed with some kayak fund raising?

How did you teach English when you don't even speak it, "Jawn"?

Truth be told, I felt bad for the Aussie teachers at our school because they were discriminated against.

We had a few "open days" and they were not allowed to teach any of the classes because they wanted "North American" accents.

I always remember from my uni days that the Japanese thought an MBA was a Master of Being in America.

We already don't keep score in Qld until under 12s. Most of those things have been done in the Qld junior leagues for years. It's sad.

In good news, the mods have decided to follow the AFL and have stopped counting infraction points.
