    Thanks mate

Things are starting to line up, possibility of a role back in either the bus or aviation industry. Just need to wait for the next steps.

A shame your not in Qld. Saw they have a big contract for buses up here. Sure someone of your skills would have been a huge asset.

I played with one of those types at my club. Insisted on holing out even if he was racking up snowmen and worse because it was good practice for monthly medal. I told him it was a waste of time and only good practice for pissing off your playing partners.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

Wasn't Stab created for pace of play? Isn't it useless otherwise?

Maybe force them to record the -3 on their card? If they say it's just a wash, tell them they played out so every shot counts!

    Oh he scores them.
Hadn't completed his round at this stage.
    He didn't pickup on 4 & 6, because "Stats"
But wiped 8,10 & 14 on the back.
Just makes zero sense to me.

Played in a game a few months back which was best 2 scores of the group of 4 and I got chatted for picking up a few times.

    My crime was simple.

I knew that my best could not better those left so picked up rather than putt etc and was told by one of the group that 'you must always putt out no matter your score'. No matter how much I tried to explain as did one of the others in the group, this dude was very adament.

Needless to say, at end of the round there were few drinks had (none - he packed up with the sh*ts and left) and will not play with the dude again.

Some peope just take what should be fun, way to serious.

He might been correct. Its a trait of the new hcap system, that says all rounds must be recorded for handicap purpose. Many clubs dont play 4BBB any more. Rather both players record scores as an individual, then computer works it out. I know that seems like the same thing, but its not.

Was this round in question recorded in your hcap ?

There was no handicap recording on this competition. No single player cards but a team card only.

The club has a few 'fun' type of competitions a year to lighten the mood, smaller fields and that kind of thing. Was one of those days.

Rules of it were a mix of Ambrose and Stableford. All tee off, pick the best ball (ie. Ambrose) and then play your own from that location as a stableford score. Once you played your own ball you then played as epr stableford (so yes, if I had 2 shots I got them).

    Edited.
Where I play 4BBB there is usually a singles in conjunction so yep, make sure I keep going until I cannot score any points and flag it a wipe.
For the 4BBB comps, my club is one that doest he each player has a card and let the computer do it's thing, but the original competition was not of this nature.

So how would it determine who scored the points on a hole when both recorded the same result? Does it just split them evenly?
The first time my hc dropped was in a 4bbb where I was on the card 14 times.

Had a scenario similar when someone kept holing out, even when they'd lost balls and dropped in the fairway 'for practice'. After ignoring advice from playing partners that we wouldn't wait and we are behind, we ignored him after that, even walked off greens whilst he was still putting and nearly walked off a tee after we were still waiting for him. Ended with a report to the pro shop, and he was only allowed to play in the last 2 groups of the field after that. Was not seen at the course after a few months.

Fedex and Customs/AQIS. I am sure they conspire to devise new and cunning ways to delay my imports perpetually.

Ha. I am in a muslim country at the moment, christmas stuff everywhere. Yet in australia, we want to tone down christmas celebrations so we dont offend others.
