Anyone else lodged a claim recently with Australia Post?

So they keep the club and the packaging until the claim is assessed, F F S frustrating

The pilot is a noted club chucker. Wouldn’t be the first broken shaft he’s caused. 😂

Aircon dramas did not finish even after the the install was finally completed Thursday morning.

After asking to speak to some one senior in the company about the problems on day 2 (Tuesday) I finally got a call from him Wednesday as we were pulling out the drive way to go to our daughters graduation. Short conversion with an offer of some form of compensation that would be emailed to me and arrangement to finally complete the install Thursday morning.
Accts dept call late Thursday asking how I'd like to pay. I tell them to email me the invoice and that I was expecting an offer of compensation email from the person Id spoken to the day before and no payment would be made until 'Ive seen and accepted the offer.
Go to work on the Friday expecting to find the offer of compensation email, nothing. Meanwhile the final invoice has been sent not a problem.
    Check again Monday, still nothing.
    Check again Tuesday, still nothing.
Tuesday afternoon while at work Acct Dept ring again asking if I'd received the invoice ok. Confirmed that I received the invoice fine but I was still waiting for the offer of compensation I'd been promised was going to be sent by (quoted person Name). Was told that that person no longer worked for the company and that they would get his replacement to call me the next day.
Received the call from a very apologetic replacement. Went through the whole detailed list of events from day to day 2 that I had been recording the whole way along as soon as I had to make the first call on day 2.
Compensation offer discussed and received later that night via email.
Found out the person he replaced had not left but had been given the boot.

Yeah all good , there would be people far worse off than me , anyone with a swampy is in trouble because the water is so hot almost blood temperature and now our water has gone off altogether
Luckily I get to spend 6 hours in the cold room at 2.7

Cheers CC, the Aircon is working better than expected considering the how hot it's been consecutive days. Mrs Hatch said the panel peaked at 27C inside yesterday. It showed 22C when I got home from work at 2:30am when it was 36 outside still. It was showing 27C again when I left for work at 1:30 when outside is 43C. So all up it's working very well for a swampy, touch wood as with all the other dramas I was really fearing the worst and the saga to continue.

Those temps in your pic remind me of my good old days in the Riverland. Every thing above 45C is getting seriously hot. I'm sure your drinking plenty of fluids to help cool down. Stay safe mate and hope the cool change reaches you very soon.

Very annoying. He was even calling a player's name wrong, which is unacceptable for a professional commentator.

Late last year daughter was awarded a future community leaders scholarship at the usq; the application took a mountain of work, including obtaining references from various people, application letter, compiling achievements and things she's participated in. She was pretty chuffed.
Then recently she was awarded another one which the uni was offering to all applicants based solely on their OP result, no application was necessary.
They've just emailed her to tell her she has to rescind her acceptance of the first scholarship to be able to accept the second one, which is worth more money.
She'll always have the letter offering her the first one, as a feather in her cap. But it kinda sux that they're now asking her to give it up.

My son's flight from Adelaide to Melbourne yesterday.
8:00am arrived at airport for 9:00am flight.
    Flight cancelled at 8:30pm.
    Departure changed for 3:00pm.
    Flight departs 3:00pm.
4:00pm arrives Melbourne but doesn't land due to smoke haze.
Flight circles Melbourne for an hour.
6:00pm flight lands, back in Adelaide.
Passengers told they will remain on plane whilst it's re-fueled.
    7:00pm Flight takes off again.
    8:15pm, Flight lands in Melbourne.
9:15pm Son arrives hotel and calls us to tell us about it.
Son reports all that he was given by way of cabin service was a packet of popcorn.
