Minister is still up and before I can mention the stolen welder she tells me she backed the VF Wagon up against a stone wall at netball and has scratched and dented the back guard and bumper.

I'm more p!$$ed about the welder and haven't bothered to look at how bad the damage on the car is yet.
After 25min of waiting on the ph to finally get through to someone at BOC than being put on hold 3 more times while the person on the end checks with someone on what to do re: stolen bottle. After near 40min from dailing up I get the great news it's going to be $645.
    Not f*n happy.
Bottle+Welder+shield+trolley+clamps and its close to $1400 worth. Going to look at what I can claim for now with insurance. That will be fun I'm sure. Have to get quotes for car as well. Not looking forward to that one either.

Go with a flux core wire next time. No need for the bottle.

$55 a quarter for convenence that hardly gets used and a fortune when some fembit steals it.

Gasless is crap though , but yeah you gotta be using it to get the value out of the bottle . More than 2 4.5 kilos of gasless wire a year though and your damn near at your bottle price ?

Yes it is nowhere near as good as when you have an inert gas and it is more expensive but I can see what price I could get it for and pass it on.
Costs on the rental of the bottles certainly adds up. I used to always keep 2 spare of each gas but have had to cut costs back.

Check out girls who ask " how are WE ?" One asked me once ( I am old enough to be her dad if not grandad)" What are we doing this weekend?' I replied " are you asking me out ?" She almost died........ and the mature lady behind her at the other check out nearly had to go change her underwear.

NBN Co. Well, one of their contractors... but it's an NBN Co appt to setup a fixed wireless service - do a signal strength test, install an antenna on the roof and internal box.

Telstra phoned me three times last week confirming it was definitely happening this time and a technician had been assigned etc. Fail.

Bloody tradesmen that give you a window of two hours in which they will arrive to do a job and then wonder why you are ringing them when that two hours is up!
What a waste of time, I could have been out on the Golf Course.

As a tradie, I hate these turn up windows! I see most of my customers after hours anyway so it's not really inconvenient for them anyway. But if I'm running even 15mins behind I call them. Usually it's cause I spent too long talking with the previous customer.

We have a local sparky who has a policy that if they are 15 minutes late to an appointment without notifying the customer by phone, they get the first hour free.

    Business is booming.

If I was in business for myself that's exactly what I would do. Keeping the customer informed is a priority as far as I am concerned. Unfortunately common courtesy is not too common these days!

Generally their always late because people are constantly ringing to find out when they are coming, so that job blows out in time.

National company campaign to have August be LTI free.
3 days in and there's been 3 clear examples of senior management only being concerned a bout a bullshite static number not actual people.
We use an absence line service for employees to call in sick. I had one call in sick yesterday and the same one call in today stating sore leg. Of course "sore leg" sends them all into a spin and I have heap of emails asking to call the employee and find out if it's work related as it will affect their precious stats.
I have issues with calling employees at home and it p!$$ me off. Ring them yourself you ****s if your concerned for the employee. Home is home, work is work as far as I'm concerned.
Lucky the one that hurt himself yesterday at work is not on my shift. My opposite on the other shift has filled me on what they are trying to do to stop it affecting their precious number.

40 pages of paperwork to complete a 6 hr job last week for some pre-wiring within the new Convention Centre.
    Comprising of -
    18 page Safework Method Statement
5 page Working at heights Part A
8 page Working at heights Part B
3 pages to Induct the Cherry Picker
4 pages Verification of Competency to use said Cherry Picker and
    2 pages for Toolbox Discussions

Nearly 3 hrs to fill in.

and then when your up in your machine set out with the proper exclusion zones, other people just
    walk through them anyway. Meatheads!

I wouldn't even be mildly annoyed at that, let alone pissed off.

I guess you have to see the way they go on when other things happen that delay delivery and it is seen as our fault.
