Who gives a stuff? Let them eat as many as they want.

I seriously cannot see the attraction to whales. Why people travel all over the place to see them swim up a coastline is beyond me.

    Coming back to work.

The kids seemed to know I was coming back today, so they were both awake screaming at 1 this morning.

    Yay.

Not exactly sure what angle you are running with here Just. The footage looks pretty clear cut from what I've seen.

The guys on on the Sea Sheperd boat are all volunteers and I don't think any sailor on the 1000 tonne jap boat was in any danger while it sailed over the top of them.

Things like fouling a ships propeller seems harmless, which the Ady Gil was attempting to do, have very dangerous consequences. As is hurling shit at people on decks or spraying them with hoses (and both sides are guilty of this), especially in that climate. Sea Sheperd are ****wits of the highest order, because they create situations which have the potential to kill people.

I agree that Sea Sheperd seem to be nob-ends of a high order but yesterdays events have taken things to the next level. Ruddy and his mob should have had an observer vessel in place from the beginning which would have kept a lid on a lot of the shenannigans.

I doubt it would, any ship we send would have no jurisdiction to do anything.

Observer...kinda implies they aren't going to do anything requiring jurisdiction. Just gives an unbiased set of eyes on Sea Shepherd that would maybe discourage them from taking actions that would lose them the moral high ground in the popular media...

I'd comment on Australia needing to defend it's sovereignty of the southern ocean but that might complicate stealing oil and gas from the Timorese
