Have a Fisher and Paykel dual draw for about 13 years now. Absolutely bullet proof. Same with the fridge.

We currently have one from Aldi. Bought as an emergency when the old one died. Been going strong for over a year and was 379 or something like that. Eco cycle is a bit crap for cooked on food but the next level one works really well.

After reading this thread, my Dishwasher was dead last night.
Unpacked it, pulled it apart, cleaned it, drained it and prepared to call the repair man back again.... FFS.

Then opened up the cupboard where the power cable went, and one of the kids had pushed a chopping board that far back it had turned to power switch off.

Turned switch on, it works again.

    Hillarious Benno,

We have an Asko, I'm told they are good.

Seems to make the dishes, cutlery, glasses and cups clean if we put them in

Setting alarm for a 9am sleep in and being wide awake at 6:30am.
Body clock has slowly adjusted to the permanent day shift change in July and life being in a state of turmoil is not helping sleep atm.

No chance of any of that with the source of the turmoil still under the roof.

Dog waking me up at 1am to have a drink, and then 3am to go outside to the toilet, and then 4.30 because he decides to sleep on the tiles downstairs. I love him to bits, but this pattern over the last 6 months is driving me insane …

I've heard of indoor cats, but I grew up in the 70s/80s, every dog including all of ours lived outside.

Aus Post sending my parcels on field trips. Waiting on one which went through a Brisbane facility this morning, and is now apparently going on a trip to Bundaberg.

SA (and other states) not being able to decide between "living with covid" and "covid zero" and so doing a bit of both. Pat Cummins being ruled out of the 2nd test because he was in a restaurant with a positive case, even though he's double-vaxed.

Just let him play and do air fist bumps only, like the Melbourne Star imports were doing the other night.

13 hours of incident resolution on a Sunday. Urgh. Urgh. Urgh.

Root cause was a stupid piece of old hardware that shouldn't have been impacted.

Got to love 15 year old core network hardware

Young guy ran into my car on a round-about today. Got his name and phone number, and took a look photo of his car (make/model/rego). Phone someone stuffed up and lost the photo, send he's not answering his phone. FFS.
