having 2 birdies on a sunday last week and thinking I would get a voucher for each one, only to find out the birdie policy is that there has to be a certain amount of players in the field (I havent found out how many yet).
They raised the competition fee a while back to include $1 for birdies on par threes, but apparently not paying out on all of them.

Jumped into a vacant spot for the 9 hole chook run today. 1:08 tee off. After a bigass corporate day. Get there, delay of at least 30 minutes. All blokes I was supposed to play with pissed off. Had to come home

Bugger ! I didn't realise you didn't still have a spot in the field. I would have hung back and played with you. We never saw the group behind us. Mind you, I would be worried about leaving those 3 without a Chaperone!

No spots Dave, was a bit full for an hour or so. Those 3 on their own might be scary!

Went to GOMA in Brissie today. If that's the best our taxes get us is a firkin disgrace!!

School holidays should allow the ideal opportunity to show off what they're all about.
The shit we saw today equals last year's primary school art exhibition.

And the art gallery didn't offer much better, with exhibitions currently in changeover.

    KEPERRA GOLF CLUB.

By far the most disappointing course I've played in the last couple of years..
Bunkers were rock hard, fairways were patchy and greens were atrocious.

Keperra Bowl shortly apparently.. the boys have got some work to do!!!

    No return game for me.

The member we played with said the same thing. I'd hate to see it less than great

Been at the airport since 3:45 this morning. Flight inevitably delayed due to weather because it’s been smashing down here.

Now (08:5sitting on the tarmac because it’s too wet for groundstaff yet in that time I’ve watched no less that 7 aircraft from Qantas/Jetstar and a small charter plane take off or land.

Now I’ve already missed the start of the event I’m going to but how can one airline fly and not the other, from the same terminal and runway??

Meanwhile I’m looking outside and the rain has pretty much stopped.

That playing partners expect me to put there name down each week and then can't even message you when they move or don't play.
No more, if they don't like the only time I can get, do it themselves.

F****ing bunch of morons in our maintenance department and the 24Mil $ automation upgrade. This latest one is bitter icing on a moldy cake.
New automation tracks everything off 7 machines to the pallet inserter and strapping section and ticketed by automation to identify an internal Unique Job tracking number, Customer and quantity.
One OFS computer on a machine dies 2 nights ago now requiring every single ejection out off the auto stacker to be entered into the automation tracking computer system. You miss one or get one wrong and everything is out of sequence putting job s on wrong pallets, strapping/wrapping wrong and putting the wrong ticket on at the end.
No spares ready to go and no importance placed on fixing it urgently. I had a massive vent this afternoon at start of shift with the GM who was oblivious to the extent of the problems it has caused when asking me about the 1hr of lost time at the start of yesterdays shift when every thing was out of sequence. Either he's stupid or people between my level of management and him are blowing smoke up his a$$.
Why I'm so annoyed is I asked the questions about backups and replacement computers in the event of failure and our ability to minimize disruption to the business. I now have to find labor I don't have to manually enter each stack ejected into an automated system. I'm requiring more heads to manually interfere with sections that haven't been completed fully or have failed with no contingency and no urgency to correct.
4 weeks in and we still don't have a change over printer for the ticketing robot at the very end. No tickets and the system stops, resulting in the whole place grinding to a halt.
No wonder manufacturing is f**ked in this country. The German manufactures of the equipment have had a gut full of our maintenance department too.

    Rant over

    Hi Hatchy,

It's late. Any chance of condensing that post?

    GM is an ostrich.
    Middle management are idiots.
Aussie workers struggle putting numbers in correct sequence.
    This amuses the Germans.
