use www.opendns.com you can block stuff like facebook specifically or by category, and its free. Turn things off or on at will. Just choose something like 'family safe browsing" and all undesirable stuff is blocked, especially all the crappy banner adds. and the best part is you can see a history of what sites are being looked at the most, and when something like tumblr.com pops up with lots of hits, block that too. They might stay one step ahead of dad, but its only ever one step.

A kid could figure out how to workaround it, but unless they have lots of coloured pens in their top pocket, it aint going to happen.

Plenty of clubs seem to still put them through, ours does. You can be handicapped on a 4BBB card under the rules in certain circumstances in any case.
