    I've got iron covers because,

a). My irons are expensive and new and I want to keep them in as good a condition as possible

b). I'm not a fan of the clanging noise.

Couldn't care less what other people think

Iron Covers (and Headcovers!) are a PITA in wet, windy conditions we discovered at Pelican! But so was the clanging when we took them off! If someone could invent a grip cover that keeps grips dry they would probably be on a winner I reckon! And ball scoops were mostly useless unless they were at least 20' long!

Not everyone thinks iron covers are ghey. For some reason protecting your equipment makes you ghey. I guess using a condom is ghey too.

Has anyone told you that you are supposed to take them off before hitting the ball?

Would that of stopped him winning the NAGA?

Winning wouldn't have stopped him winning the NAGA.

I suspect that not showing up at all wouldn't have stopped him winning. Never seen a more worthy NAGA.

I slept in Lady Ferret's jarmmy pants last night and I woke up this morning with a real desire to fish out the iron covers for my prized MacGregor PCB Tours. That was until I took a piss standing up.

You certainly don't want to be putting them on your short irons and wedges. You would wear them out the number of times you would have to take them off each round! Ditto with Putter covers.

I was told you only slept naked. Why were you wearing the Mrs PJs? Wait a moment - on second thought I don't really want to know.

Golf is, in part, a game; but only in part. It is also in part a religion, a fever, a vice, a mirage, a frenzy, a fear, an abscess, a joy, a thrill, a pest, a disease, an uplift, a brooding, a melancholy, a dream of yesterday and a hope for tomorrow. - New York Tribune, 1916.

It's official. Using iron covers makes you a wanker. Jury is still out on whether it is ghey or not.

    Forum needs more banter.
