An apparent eye witness account has suggested there is plenty to come in the standing down of St GeorgeIllawarra centre Dane Nielsen.
There are unconfirmedreports that Nielsen and troubled Cronulla recruit Ben Barba came to blowsoutside a Cronulla restaurant after both were seen at the same nightclub in Sydney’s south.
It’s been suggested that up to 8 players from both the Sharks and the Dragons were there to break up thefight which left Barba in a daze after Nielsen had been earlier kicked out of the Sting Bar which is located on the Kingsway.
Both Nielsen and Barba hail from Mackay in Queensland’s north.

Yep both from Mackay and both played juniors for Norths Devils here. Barbs is 4 years younger though, so I doubt they had much to do with each other. Barba does have older brothers who would be around Dane's age.

I am unaware of any bad blood between the 2. Nothing on the headlines yet.

How so? Couldn't care less about Pearce or the Roosters, but highly unlikely Pearce will play for the Blues now, which greatly hurts the Marons chances in the origin.

Agree. The 7 coverage made it sound like something really horrible, but the full version on 9 put the whole matter into context.

But that context makes the incident very similar to the Todd Carney matter, and a precedent has been set. Pearce has form, so I can't see any way out for him.

The lesson for everybody: do not ever play up when a camera is around. Someone else will think it is funny to distribute it, and someone else will think it is so funny a career should be ruined as a result of getting a few laughs.

And Mitch needs to find new friends, probably in England or France.
