Slater wasn't let off, the other grub was. Slater had the opportunity to take it further and declined. If you don't want to get punched in the head don't palm people in the head when they aren't looking. Pretty simple really. Fancy thinking he could just palm him in the head free of charge. Good on team management for showing common sense.
