I am on 4 of my reread, with the new one sitting there for when I get to it. I know that I will speed read most of 'the whining women' books (6-10) so should not be too long!

I picked up one of Sanderson's books without even knowing it and I really enjoyed it. Can't remember the name but it's the first in the Mistborn series. He was a good choice for Jordan.

I know it isn't that long, but if I hadn't had to read it for uni there is little chance I would have gone all the way.

I just finished The Big Show by Pierre Clostermann, was quite good.

Just starting The closing of the Muslim Mind, which promises to be interesting I think.

Just finishing 'From Those Wonderful Folks Who Gave You Pearl Harbor: Front Line Dispatches from the Advertising War' by Jerry Della Femina - worth a read if you are in to Mad Men.

Then I'll be on to 'Life' by Keith Richards.

I didn't know there was a second. I'll have to look for it.

I actually left my first copy at a book exchange in a hostel in Mission Beach back in 2001. Kind of fitting that it came up with the cyclone this week. I hope the place is still standing.

Just finished Brent Weeks' (Night Angel trilogy) latest book - The Black Prism. Enjoyed it, the only problem is waiting for books 2 & 3 to be written.

For those that read the George R R Martin books, there are a couple of items of news.

A TV show isn't very far away, and the next book is due in July.

After watching the clips, I've realised that I will need to read the earlier books again to refresh the memory.

Just finished 'First Blood' by David Morrell. The original Rambo was based on this book. Pretty good read. Have never seen the movie. Any good?

First Blood is a decent movie (for its day), the rest that followed were tripe.
