Just finished Jeffery Archers, A prisoner of birth, pretty good, been a fan of his for a while and it was one of his best.

Make that three books.....
I've just picked up number 9 from the library. Number 12 will be released this year, and the other two in the following years supposedly.
See if you can get your hands on Legends 1 and 2, which have a heap of short stories by fantasy authors including the big names.
Have read much fantasy types...not much lately though.
Am currently reading (re-reading, actually) "When Christ And His Saints Slept" by Sharon Penman...I will then re-read book 2, "Time And Chance" before moving on to the final book which I got for my birthday earlier this year, "Devil's Brood". It's historical fiction around Henry Plantagenet and his queen, Eleanor of Aquitaine...
Next up after that is Don Watson's biography of Paul Keating...
I can't get into fiction books. But last week, I actually read a paperback, albeit still non-fiction. 'One Red Paperclip' by Kyle MacDonald.
It's the story of a Canadian, who was supposed to looking for a job online, but instead he traded the paperclip holding his CV together for a 'fish pen', which he traded for a doorknob, which he traded for a camping stove, etc. The goal was to somehow trade up to a house.
As the items got bigger, so did the hurdles, and also the adventure.
You don't get me. I'm part of the Union.
I'm about to start Dan Browns new one The Lost Symbol
Half Dotty, half back-cover.
He has a website, which he used for communicating to do the trades (and blogs, comments, etc.). But since the trading has finished, it also has the spoiler to the book.

Finished it and this series is really starting to get a bit painful. There is no recap at the start of each book, and there are just so many characters, especially female, that I'm finding it very hard to remember them when they are mentioned and what their deal was. There doesn't seem to be very much that happens over most of the book, and then there's a tonne of action in the last couple of chapters.
Regardless, I've started reading the tenth, and the first thing I notice is that there is a 90 plus page prologue that will jump around between different characters every few pages. Good-o!
New book came today.
Golf Architecture: Economy in Course Construction and Greenkeeping (1920) By Dr Alister Mackenzie.
Anybody read The Lost Symbol yet?
zigwah.
Just bought "Darwin Awards: Omnibus".
Good for laugh!

Matthew Reilly's latest book is released today - only found this out when I heard him talking to Alan Jones on 2GB this morning. I'll probably wait until Christmas and get it (since the closest book signing of his is 21 December) and reread Six Sacred Stones in the meantime...
Sharon Penman 'Time & Chance - Book 2 in a trilogy about the Plantagenets in England...I had to go back to the start and read 1 & 2 again before I read the last in the series (which I only got at the start of the year !!).
