    Default Gday All

    Gday all,

I think i might have gone mad at some stage...The thing is i have always had the opinion that golf was a waste of a good walk. or whats the silly point hitting a ball then chase it only to hit it away from you once again etc

well the other thing is i thought i could never see myself ever walking around a coarse doing the same thing after all the missus thinks i have to many dam hobbies at the moment with fishing and boating, drinking beer, making beer, photography, watching afl footy and sex and where will i find the time to even contemplate smacking a little white ball around a ground wondering what that little white ball ever did to me...

i seen on the notice board at work our social club is having a golf day and thought gosh wouldnt it be good to stir these work mates of mine on the golf day seeing as though i am not much in to golf by ambusing them all in some way with exploding golf balls, bals that cant be putted etc i think you all get my drift...

but i stopped for a second and thought gosh before i go ahead and ambush my workmates golf day i thought i better see what this caper is all about... So last weekend in 38 years of my life i decided well i am going to a 9 hole golf coarse hire me self some clubs and balls and swing that stuck... mind you i had to be told the difference between a putter and a driving iron... people looked at me funny when i arrived at the first tee off with a putter in my hand....

well i managed to get around the entire 9 holes of golf.. sat down having a nice cold beer reflecting apon the 9 holes i just played......Mind you it was like 300 shots later at the ninth thank goodness i didnt play 18 holes i would have hated to see how many shots it would have took me...

anyway the point to all this i have changed my opinion on Golf and now have put my name down at work to play this weekend with my workmates... they Know i can't play for didly squat and they no i am a bit of the work clown at work and likely to do anything on the day...

well all i can say now is after all this i actually enjoyed wacking the little white ball around the coarse and have now decided to take up golf as my 100th hobby that i have taken up in my life...

the thing is gals and guys if you can remember the "life be in it" adds on the TV yes i know some of you young lasses and lads wouldnt know what "life be in it was", but i am what you would commonly know as norm with the remote control...ya see i am like 130 kilos of good looking body many of people wish they had a body like mine but sadly it takes a lot of years to geta body like mine...

I feel i am in need of excercise and taking up golf seems to me that i am going to get that excercise not just by walking but using my body... i just hope it isnt going to take 38 years to develop a new body...

Anyway i am very new to the game and i am not looking at getting into competition golf or anything like that i just want to be able to go out and enjoy the game for what it really is and maybe get to good score or what ever you guys like to call a good score and get a bit of excercise...

anyway i think i have found a new interest and looking to learn the game and hopefully someday i can be like happy gilmore...

sorry to bore you guys with my long winded introduction

    cheers
    ozdevil

Welcome Ozdevil, if that really is your name.

Enjoy golf. It's a fickle mistress.

But at least it's not a sanctimonious prick.

    Gday Beetle

Spelling was never a big forte of mine and think spelling things right is a bit over rated.....

often enough most people only read the first and last letter to make sense of the word...

I bet you can read this paragrapgh to understand what i am saying...

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at ogzlof.net, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a total mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Amzanig huh?

seriously i was never the best speller in the world and never will be...

anyway thanks for the welcome message
