I the situation a bit like up in Qld? I mean, face it, we must often feel that we're not picking the best option, but picking who won't be the worst? Up here Anna probably should have been out last time, and considering she was just spose to be a place holder for a term or two to start with, but the opposition has to offer up something worth changing to, and it almost doesn't feel like they're present here? (you can take what I'm saying with a grain of salt, as I'm a lefty).
Dan may have given plenty of reasons to not vote Lab, but have the opp given enough reasons to vote Lib?

Thats why the Dictators biggest threat to his own seat is an independant, and obviously why his campaign message is to vote Labor not vote Dan.

Matthew Guy is just an awful opposition leader.

Had dinner with the local mafia (lobster with a mobster), his CoS was caught corruptly soliciting payments trying to circumvent a bunch of corruption and election laws. The Vic Libs have been taken over by something resembling extremist christian views, and an opposition candidate took his life last weekend after being charged for rape.

They don't really appeal as a sensible, organised opposition.

Its the same in Canberra. ACT ALP needs a major kick up the arse and a spell on the sidelines, but the ACT Liberals are extremely useless churchy conservative types in a secular, progressive city. They don't present a realistic opposition - ACT Liberal incompetence is why David Pocock has the balance of power Federally.

I went looking for odds for the seat - nothing on Ladbrokes.

Update - PointsBet has him $1.22.

When googling, the only stories that suggested he would lose his seat was SkyNews and the Herald Sun, those fine bastions of impartial journalism

A thoroughly predictable result considering the rabble that is the Liberal Party, although betting against them has proven to be a most reliable and lucrative outcome.

Yes the Libs are a rabble and seems Victorian branch learnt nothing from the federal election, and the voters in Mulgrave at least have a severe case of stockholm syndrome - or maybe they are just oblivious because the police were not goosestepping around Dans electoriate beating up on people and arresting them for stupid things, like posting on Facebook.

It’s got nothing to do with soccer. Some people are just scum and pretending to be soccer fans is just the cover story that they think gives them a semi respectable outlet for their douchebaggery. The Melb Victory ‘fans’ last night are a prime example. Pure scum first and foremost, soccer fans a distant second.
Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become a Masters champion..... It looks like a mirac.. It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

But you see it around the world with soccer! Don't you? Are there other sports that suffer this?

Imagine if Frank Lowy’s ethnic cleansing of soccer when the NSL was wound up didn’t take place. Would soccer have a national comp these days?

It's always because of the wogs. But without them soccer would be even more boring.

The old NSL was miles better than this current rubbish. I have fond memories of the old South Melbourne Hella games in Albert Park, flares and all. At least the local game had some soul back then.

Please. At least in baseball the players are man enough to start their own fights, and don’t fall about like a bunch of homos when they get tapped on the shin.

Can we get back to the fact that the punters from Victoria who love to throw barbs at the NRL have shot themselves in the foot again.

So how far away from Melbourne will Dictator Dan have to go, to find a golf club that will accept him as a member?
