Any spare moments down there will be spent in a tab, punting your head off at Canterbury or Moonee Valley today.
This is me your talking to mate..not some Qld hick that doesn't know how you roll.
Dickie, not everyone who likes the occasional punt has a gambling problem like you. Have you sought some help for your addiction? Or is there just nothing else for you to do up there?

I think Jack may be gilding the lily somewhat. The wind that will be whipping in to the peninsula from the SW today has spent the last few weeks in Antarctica getting its' ice on big time.
It is freezing and blowing hard.
However, once it clears off by the weekend it will be lovely and I will play one of the nations' finest in a cool and bracing breeze. Conditions will be firm and fast despite the recent rains and all will be well.

As a life long Victorian, I have found it completely unnecessary to validate or articulate Victoria as a place to live to people from other states (some who clearly have an issue with Victoria/Victorians in general).
I holiday in WA and QLD regularly and absolutely enjoy myself whilst there, but when it's all over can't wait to get back to Victoria.
Yea it's cold sometimes, contrary to popular belief it's rarely wet and has fantastic restaurants and bars.
I would recommend Vic as a place to visit to any who ask my view, as it caters for all tastes and I'd be surprised if a good time was not had.
Suffice to say if SMS never crossed the border again it would only serve Victoria and Victorians better as I have never heard of a bigger Vic basher than he.
If any Ozgolfers come to Victoria recreationally I always, where possible, extend an invitation for a hit and/ or a coffee/beer and will continue to do so.
You're all welcome, well almost all of you and if you're not interested well that's good to.

Ve harsh Chappy. Surely Ken Cunningham and Neil Kerley have me covered. Although being South Australians, they might actually be jealous.

SMS perhaps these gents had a genuine reason for dislike considering the battles that took place betwen the big "V" and the Croweaters over the years.
Quite frankly I don't understand yours and don't particularly care.

The smell wafting over the Murray from Wodonga would be an obvious start.

You Vic's are kidding!!
I woke up down here thismorning and yesterday, and proceeded to put on, shirt, jumper, jacket, coat and scarf, before heading into the office.
This state is ok in the warmer months, but i'd sooner pledge celibacy before opting for winters in melbourne.

Lovely stuff Jarro isn't it? And best drunk from the bottle in a brown paper bag as the Pieman suggests. I only ever have it on the course though, never at home. I like a Drambuie nightcap these days when its chilly.

Nip of stones in your beer is fantastic also, though on long road trips it does sneak up and smack you over the back of the head when you go to get up!

Consciousness and awareness - awareness is being aware of what is happening and being aware of what is happening within ourselves while we are conscious. Where did I leave my glasses?

Yes, obviously the economy is thriving down that way, plenty of work for professionals. Those that want to get paid crap for doing menial work come to qld.
